Big congrats G Greens! All Pac-12 Freshman YT Analyst of the Year. The channel will continue to grow -- there are so many channels with "USC" in the name that don't bring this kind of content. We definitely lost a national treasure today. Rest easy, Pirate.
Trevor!!! Thanks so much man, you’ve been here from the very beginning. Your positive comments and suggestions always brighten my day. Appreciate you! ✌🏻
Wow! What great instincts. How is this kid not a 5-star? He looks like a combo of Taylor Mays size , speed and strength, with Brian Cushing's play stopping abilities. Remember, Cushing started as a freshman, definitely doable. I really like how mature he behaves, on camera. Thanks for sharing
Congrats on reaching 1k! Tacket is going to be a stud especially if he can put on 15-20 pounds. Kinda reminds me of Cushing and Rey maleuga! Fight on ✌🏾
Another excellent video! Can't wait to see Curtis suit up for the good guys. Let's goooo!!! ✌✌✌ Congrats on your 1K subs! This is just the beginning! And yes, RIP Coach Leach. 🙏 Truly one of a kind. ❤
Congratulations on ur 1000 subscribers, with all the content you have you should have more. I don't watch much football anymore but I watching one of ur videos n it got me little more interested. Now I have something to watch till spring training starts. Thanks
I’m excited for this player. I would LOVE to see him paired with Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa from Bosco. He’s a junior and I watched him play a few weeks ago against Mater Dei and he was all over the place. Non stop motor.
Very good, thoughtful, smart video!! Nice to listen to someone who knows what they're talking about. This guy's a monster natural hitter. He reminds me of a LARGE Troy Polamalu. He's got the "timing" of the uncoil when he hits. Strikes like a snake!!!! Reminds me of me!! LOLOL
I love this kid. He could start at MLB right now or, if Lee stays for one more year, start at safety as a true freshman and then move to MLB as a sophomore. Either way he'll be making plays for our defense next year. Fight On!!!
I've been waiting for him to get on the field at Mike. He will be the next great LB, amazing skills! This dude hits the point of attack like a ton of bricks. He hits like Ronnie Lott. A born Mike! Now Grinch needs to find a way to keep him and Gentry on the field at the same time. This could be the start of a resurgence of Defense at USC.
I wish they would move Gentry to strong safety. I've seen him bounce off a couple of running backs trying to tackle high. He is just too light to be LB. Again, I think he'd make a good strong safety to better suit his body type
I went to 3 of Many's games. Tackett might be the best High School player to ever come from the area Ever. He had 3 punt returns for touchdowns in 1 game. Don't be surprised if you see him play more than Linebacker! He has great vision as a Runner. He had an 80 yard TD run in the State championship and I saw a game with two 50+ yard touchdown runs. He's faster than he looks! I would say Tackett was more valuable to Many as an Offensive Player, they could have done just as good a job on Defense without him!!! Many is a class 2A school but they pounded 4A and 5A schools in nondistrict and probably could have won state in all classifications in Louisiana this year.
Dam Bobby Bouche!! This dude is a seek and destroy athlete. He knows how to hit properly and what I like the most is he is not scared to engage bigger lineman and go around them he goes through them. He should be able to get a lot of playing time and in a couple game stake the over at MLB.
Many High is a few miles from my home. He drives and entire pileup of Lineman and ball carrier back when he hits the pile. He's like a bulldozer. I think he can start as a Fresman. He could probably start at USC as a high school senior if that was allowed. I've seen several games in person. These videos dont do justice to what he does.
I love how he has a nose and great flow to the ball carrier. He's definitely loves contact and is a hitter, I've never seen so many de-cleaters. Hopefully he can make the transaction to MLB and play closer to the line of scrimmage.
He meant New Mexico haha. But yes, he 100 reminds me of urlacher. One of the most memorable plays urlacher had was actually a TD by the other team. I believe it was the playoffs and Reggie bush and the saints were playing the bears. Reggie breaks one to the house, and as SC fans, we all know reggies speed is ridiculous. But the crazy part was the guy who ALMOST hawks him down in the end was not a DB, it was Brian urlacher. It was absolutely incredible to me that he had that speed. This is what Curtis can bring to the table. A lot of times these speedy linebackers are undersized and can struggle at times in run defense. But Curtis doesn't seem to have that issue at all. That boy can hit!
I'd give this kid #6. His HS film and ability to make plays all over the field. He may be the next. There have been a few LBs at USC who have been GREAT, but only 1 has been GROOT!
@@Zenocrat Yep, your right on both occasions. I remember Ronnie Lott most as a ooooh player. Every game I watched him play, mostly with the 49ers, there would be at least one play where he would make you say "ooooh" when he hit someone. Not sure about the "ooooh" spelling.
I like him but if he’s going to play MIC, he needs to be around 234-245lbs. Trust me, college football is big boy football and a major step up from high school. If he enrolls early, that will help him out tremendously. He needs to get in the winter workouts and gain some strength and weight before fall camp. If not, I don’t see him doing much the first year until he gets acclimated.
The films dont do him Justice. He is a beast! I've seen him play in person. HE WILL BE IN THE NFL!! I've only said that about a few high school players that I have seen and they all have made it. This is also all 2021 film
@@GoneCarnivore understood but no one was questioning his upside potential. We’re all wondering whether a 220lb Mike linebacker playing in a power 5 conference is ready to step in and contribute. The consensus is that his weight is very light for the level of competition. Do you know his current weight and whether he’ll be an early enrollee? 6 months getting acclimated to the speed of the game and getting in the weight will greatly benefit him. In other words, it would be extremely helpful to get some instant impact recruits that are ready from day 1. This will greatly help with our depth. As you know, we’re on the cusp of making the CFP so we needs some big time dudes.
@@alfredmayes5005 I'm sure he can put on some weight by then, I'm not sure that he comes out early but Many High School has a Top Notch weight lifting program. He is in good hands in that regard.
how does he cover pass/option in comparison to other 5 star. Guy really is a ATHLETE & shines as a tracker and marksman tackler. Would be great to test him in coverage vs USC receivers. I see Polamalu (play style) as an end product if Gentry rubs off.
He wasn’t asked to do that a ton at Many, so we’ll have to see. Great question though Jeremiah. I think he’ll be much better than what we’ve had here in recent years, coverage wise.
He just earned it by being a state champion and Gatorade Mr. Louisiana! McGinnest, Seau, Rivers and a few others were given the number as true freshman. Kiffin started that earn it crap and never had a “true” #55 on any of his SC rosters!
Learn now how to play at the college level football speed and size. Tackett has all the tools and skills necessary to be able to compete at a high level for the Trojans #FightOn
Junior Seau, Clay Matthews Jr, Clay Matthews III, Willie McGinest, Keith Rivers, Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga, Richard Wood, need I go on? Take the L, and go read a book.
@@uscfootball4life3 It's recruiting service bias and yes it's real. Not saying no 5* recruits never go to P12 schools. You will see some recruits get down graded when they commit early to certain schools.
Richard Wood, Clay Matthews, Junior Seau, Willie McGinnest, Chris Claiborne, Keith Rivers, Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews III, Su’a Cravens….. just off the top of my head
Right now, he seems a bit light to be @ Mike. At what weight do you think he'll play at? I'd think a solid 235-240+? While Gentry is aggressive enough and a decent tackler, he got knocked around a lot and wasn't strong enough to shed blockers at his light weight and slender frame. He needs to bulk up 20+#s. I'm not sure he has the speed and quickness to play outside, though?
If Tacket Curtis is NOT a 5 Star recruit, then there is no such thing. He's the best LB coming outta high school in 2023, by far. If he had committed to LSU or Ohio State, he'd damn sure get the bump up but that's your East Coast/SEC bias at work. We're all too familiar with that bullshit... it's been going on since Pete Carroll's Trojans were dominating in the mid 2000's. 5 Star recruits make #1 recruiting classes & God forbid USC ever take that title home with all the others.
