can i use different kind hard drive.. like 3.5 or 2.5 hdd or things like a NAS hard drive, CCTV hard drive and regular hard drive at one enclosure?

Thank you for reaching out with your question! You can use various types of hard drives in one enclosure, but there are some important considerations to keep in mind: Compatibility: Ensure that the enclosure supports the form factors and interfaces of the hard drives you intend to use. Many enclosures are designed for specific sizes like 2.5" or 3.5" drives and may support interfaces like SATA. Power Requirements: Different hard drives have different power requirements. Ensure the enclosure provides adequate power to each drive type. Usage: NAS drives, CCTV drives, and regular hard drives are optimized for different workloads. While they can physically fit in the same enclosure, they may have different performance characteristics. RAID Configurations: If you plan to use a RAID setup, make sure the enclosure and the drives are compatible with the RAID level you want to use. Cooling: Using multiple drives in an enclosure can generate significant heat. Ensure that the enclosure has adequate cooling to prevent overheating. For example, if you are considering a NAS drive and a CCTV drive, make sure that the enclosure can handle the specific workloads and power requirements of these drives. It's also a good idea to check the manufacturer’s specifications for both the drives and the enclosure to ensure full compatibility. If you need further assistance in selecting the right enclosure or have more questions, please let us know!

Yes. I have several of these and they are set up as individual drives with their own letters. I love these - one power supply per case instead of one power supply per external drive.
