Adam, MILLIONS of her fans around the world would lose their minds if they had the experience that you had with Aurora. Knowing that she would spot you in a crowd!? That her MOTHER chats with you 😆!? That she uses you as inspiration when she's down!? I was on cloud nine when Aurora 'liked' a comment I made once lol. I Can't even comprehend what you must be feeling, but its much deserved. People like you are helping introduce her soul healing music and ethereal charm to our troubled world, making it a much more tolerable place. Thank you Adam! And Thank you Aurora 🧚‍♂️

Heck yeah, when Aurora liked my comment on TikTok in the summer I was literally freaking out and I rolled on the ground. Even more that happened~ I was really great full for her liking my comment and then I made another comment replying to someone and mentioning what I told you which was I was literally freaking out and rolling on the ground 😅 ... AND AURORA LITERALLY READ that I ROLLED on the ground FOR HER🤣🤣🤣 I know this because she liked that comment too!! Also you know that Livestream on April 28th where Aurora says "And if someone is having a birthday today happy birthday, may the 4th be with you" or something.... April 28th is my birthday. Somehow of all days in the year she could have randomly said it she chose that day and It felt special and it felt kind of like it was for me. So yeah I havent even ever met her but these little things really mean something to me so I honestly don't know if I could have the courage to face her in person. Even though Im a warrior and I would support Aurora through anything even if she decided she didn't want to be an artist anymore it's almost like in a sense I'm scared of her or something because I don't know I have a wild imagination and every time I imagine it I'm either crying or saying something Awkward, I guess it's just me worrying I'll make a bad impression, and I would really love to attend a concert but I'm also just kind of nervous of you know what I mean.

@@Nightfighter82 We are known for our drinking water 😉 Actually all people in Norway has fresh clean water without adding anything in our taps. In fact the “Voss” water that people in other countries pay a lot of money for, it comes from our tap water 👍 So it’s definitely something in our water 👍😅

Hi Adam, I'm normally a silent lurker, but this one got me out of my little cave. I just wanna say that listening to your experience made me so incredibly happy! I'm beyond happy for you and could almost feel it as if it was my own experience. 9 minutes in and I got so overwhelmed by all the ~e m o t i o n s~ that I ended up being a crying hot mess too, hahaaa. WOW, Adam! I've been watching the first 14 minutes of this review, and I'll watch the rest tonight when I come home. I just have to dry my tears before I go, because it's freezing outside here in Norway. But I know I won't feel that inside. What an INCREDIBLE experience that must have been for you! I am SO sorry there was not a camera there... I would have loved to see your face when she said "Hi Adam" .... LOL ! - I am SO happy for you! You deserve it! It is the people that takes her music IN that she do this for, and she has said it several times - it not the numbers of streams or anythings that motivates her, it is the writing, the journey, and the people that takes the music inside and treats it with respect... and you are the best "in youtube land" in that category, second to none.... in my humble opinion... I does not like to rank... .. but I will do an exception today! Nr 1..... You know what: this is just the start! When covid is gone, and she put a permanent band / backing together, we will see fantastic live performances that will blow our minds again!

I was there too!! I flew from the states to see her! Incredible experience. I would have said hi if I saw you, you are an awesome person and I love your videos. So glad you were able to meet each other! Edit: I have cried more listening to her in the past few years than in the rest of my life combined. Tears of awe and inspiration!! She has the most open and generous heart, and I see that in you too! So glad you are a warrior for her!

6:56 when you say that Aurora looked at you I have to keep replaying that part because it literally makes my heart race. I have a very active imagination and it's like hearing a book and imagining all of the visuals. And holy frick, she knows who you freaking are. 😱😱😱 That is truly special. @adam straughan As a Norwegian, it's quiet embarrasing you discovered her before I did. Aurora is one of my favorite artists now. I just have to say I completely agrees with Aurora, about your reactions. I love your reactions of different artists. You have always thougthful, positive comments. All of this is what makes AURORA Aurora - she notices people, she is aware, takes in so much for so many people... and gives it back. She is not only talented and scary smart, but gracious and an empath like no other. I saw your instagram post right away and was so super happy for you, because you are so open to receive and then to articulate what you receive--it is so fitting that you got to meet her this way. There may be another time--there probably will, and it will come exactly when you need it the most, so maybe soon, probably later, but "I feel it in my bones" that you will meet her in a very deep way in the future. meanwhile, she is right - i always go straight to your reactions to her music first! you have integrity as well as emotional intelligence-- thank you for your work.

Wow, what a beutiful story you lucky man.I love the album to. It actualy reminds me a bit of some of the consept Prog albums from the late 60s early 70s in the sence that you must listen to the hole album to understand the full meaning.Next time you meet her ask her if there is any chanse to cover King Crimsons (Moonchild). That song is written for her in 1969. Love your channel 👌

want to share some thoughts here. i've always been a boy who questions existence in a very complicated way and this album is everything I could have ever asked for. It just wipes my mind clean and makes me feel like I belong here. And I never felt like I belong before. I wish I could tell Aurora how this makes me feel, because it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever felt so far, but it's impossible to put it into words. She's a genius who lives to love. We're lucky to have her around. Anyway. Thank you for this beautiful video, Adam. I began to cry when This Could Be A Dream started to play. That song takes me to a special place. I feel like I've been there before I was even born. It makes me feel like I miss something, but I don't know what it is. And I saw it made you feel so much too. I guess this album did something to all of us that we will never be able to explain. Or at least to those who really listen. We are all just passangers who stopped here on Earth for a while, to love and to share. Have an amazing week, beautiful humans. I love you. 🦋

First I would like to thank you Adam (and a couple of more reactors) for letting me discover Aurora. Yes, as Norwegian I had heard of Aurora (I even considered going to the concert at Nidarosdomen, being in ‘my’ city - regret not going now…), but it’s through you I have really discovered this treasure of an artist. Second, don’t know if you knew. But at the Norwegian talk show Lindmo in January Aurora said that she made this ‘small’ album to try to figure out why we moved God(s) from being part of us and everything around us to being something distant from us (in heaven) - and how that has affected our development as humans… I think that’s perfectly in line with much of your analysis of the album… 😃

Thank you for the video and sharing both your experience meeting Aurora, as well as your thoughts on the album. And around seventy other things I’m blanking on now. Not much I can say that others haven’t already said. I can only sum up the whole mini-journey with the intimate acoustic gig, meeting, and a new album with two emojis: 😊❤️ 4:24 - Amalie Holt Kleive is the backing vocalist here. She was also at the recent Temporary High performance on NRK. So she may be on the tour… possibly. :) 1:22:50 - I looked around, and a few people confirmed that Aurora is a big fan of Ennio Morricone. The “Blood in the Wine” opening and other parts throughout is her little tribute/homage. Which resulted in a super cool, attitude-y blend of a ‘60s “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” vibe with Aurora’s own modern style (check out The Good, the Bad and the Ugly if you haven’t seen it, Kill Bill is massively influenced by it, and Tarantino has of course used Morricone music several times, eventually getting him to compose the score for one of his films).

@@AdamStraughan Not Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? :) I think Kill Bill (I’ve always considered it to be one film) might be my favorite, too. Now we need to get you to watch “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, “Cinema Paradiso”, “The Mission”, “Once Upon a Time in America” (one of Tarantino’s faves), “The Untouchables” and other classics elevated by Ennio Morricone’s masterful scores. Excellent review of the Album - Spot on and then some!! If if may offer a suggestion. Sondre Lerche (also from Bergen) put out a song and accompanying video just hours ago. "Alone in the Night" featuring Aurora. Please please give that one a listen. One of the most beautiful songs I ever heard (goosebumps, tear to the eye and so on). One of the lines in the song is "Alone in the night, how will you remember us, if your memory turns to dust". Amazing doesn't even come close. Best

@@AdamStraughan Yes, and also musical roots of black Africans. However, no one would call tango African music. The sound that aurora takes is evident in Argentine tango, I recommend listening to "libertango". Don't worry, understanding your Eurocentric vision.

@@ethereo I mean, I wouldn’t say I have ‘Eurocentric vision’ I’m simply implying that I’ve only ever heard this accordion-sounding instrument in further European music that I have heard previously. I’m certainly not implying exclusivity to that. But what I will say is that it’s fantastic to learn about music and instruments from all parts of the world, it’s a big part of why I started the channel. So thank you for the info!

I first subscribed to your channel because your analysis and emotion of her music resonated so much with my own. So in a way, her validation of you is also a kind of validation of many of us as well. As for her immediately knowing who you were, that almost knocked me off the couch just hearing it. If it actually happened to me, I'd likely need paramedics. 17:01 Thankyou for introducing another artist with similar style some people would find it annoying for comparing one artist to another. i love Aurora of course, but one artist is never enough, i really needed more otherwordly music like this. I can just picture her face (and yours) when she looked at you with her head tilted and adorable smile, and said «Hey Adam» 🥰 I’m so happy for you 😊 You deserve that. The temporary love video, I feel like it could have been an 80's Kate Bush video. Once again, so many similarities between those two artists. The expressive dancing. Also, Bush has "Breathing" and Aurora has "Exhale/Inhale" just like she had "it happened quiet" as a parallel to "Wuthering Height".

I'm quite late to this but I swear I've never felt this much happiness for another person! I was smiling, laughing ,squealing non-stop throughout the first 10 minutes. I didn't think it was possible but I love her even more now. Cont…. Aurora’s songs touch on the fact that woman has been made out to be the the original sinner (garden of Eden and the apple) in order for men to create their god. Seems to me that Aurora might be discovering the creation of patriarchy and working through that with her music… I can not wait to see what comes next!

The story at the beginning of the video is an example of how artists should treat reaction channels. I'm so happy she sees how this is just adding to the Aurora experience, and not subtracting from it, how it's spreading her love and her art, and not stealing it. Other artists need to understand this as well.

As a professed recovering Catholic, the lyrics of “Lord, you keep me crawling on my knees” is so genius at looping all of her many themes in this album together. The old, patriarchal version of a religious judgemental God sitting on a throne, ready to smite you as you kneel before him harkens to that crawling, on your knees as a penitent sinner, never “worthy” of God’s love (which is such a lie!). It also ties on the idea that love shouldn’t be forcing you into a subjugation of yourself or a prostration in front of some other judgemental supposedly “higher” being… so this links in with the either a personal (unhealthy) love relationship with another dominant critical person or even from a society perspective - the judgement of LGBTQ+ love. Really all the layers of meaning are so beautifully intermeshed and we can take the meaning that resonates for ourselves. I LOVE her music and lyrics sublime as bangers and then you dive in and WOW… another world of ideas opens up.

I thought I was the only Christian fan because not many christians are accepting about some of these topics and even an album that has the word "Gods" in the name but I'm glad that as christians we can appreciate it just as much as everyone else.
