hello everyone! About a year ago (literally, may 13th 2022...) I met my boyfriend, Jorne. Over the past year we connected and it didn't take long for us to fall in love. After a few months of officially dating, we were finally able to meet on April 24th of this year. I'm very grateful we were able to meet so soon, and my heart goes out to those who are not able to be together yet. I decided to film this video to capture my feelings leading up to us meeting, the good, the not so good, and the first moments we have of meeting each other. I never thought I would ever be in a relationship, let alone a long distance one, but life always has a way of surprising us and I could never be more grateful. This experience has taught me so much about myself, about love and overcoming hardships. Nothing good ever comes easily, and you were definitely worth the wait. I love you so much.

This is a great inspiration to me. My last year and a half has been a nightmare and I had given up on things I love. My cars, my Harley, playing music. Things I love doing with all my heart all my life just came to a stop. All of it has sat while I am going through a bad time in my life. I thought I gave up. But what you said during the sunrise part, how things got in the way but you didn't give up, really inspired me. As well as what you said on the plane about being scared but doing it anyway or you'd never know. Your words hit me hard and I think I kinda woke up after giving up on a lot of things I love out of my depression from life just taking a bad spiral. I love how you didn't let the things that got in the way stop you. Your words got me thinking of working on my car I was building and then just stopped. Or riding my bike tomorrow for the first time in quite awhile. Or picking up my guitar and playing. It's been a hard time for me but your words inspired me to get out of the funk I have been in and get moving. You are a smart and amazing girl and I pray that your relationship with Jorne is a great one. Thanks for sharing this video. It helped me a lot. God Bless.

girlllll you got me crying the ending is so cute and its soooo true!!!! My whole dating experience was terrible and abusive until i met my current boyfriend, I always wondered why i suffered so much and the thoughts in my head kept saying why me???? My current boyfriend found his way into my life and saved me... i fell deeply in love. Things really happen for a reason and if something doesn't work out then it isn't meant to be :) I'm happy that everything went well for you in the end!!!

Weren’t you scared to meet a “stranger” all by yourself? Did you had a plan b? Im also in that Situation but my parents make me scared since i would be traveling alone and meet a ‘stranger’

I personally wasn’t ! We had known each other for a year and talked on video call every single day. We both split the costs 50/50 to know we were both serious about meeting each other. My parents knew, and since I’m an adult they didn’t try to stop me, but wanted me to be safe. Plus I have family in Germany who I could have gone to stay with if anything went wrong. The important thing is to communicate and set boundaries/voice worries in advance:) good luck ! 💜

Always book directly with the Airlines, third party sites like Expedia aren’t high priority when it comes to getting cancellations Glad it’s working out for you! I just met a pretty lady during my solo train trip across Canada. I’m from the USA 🇺🇸 and she’s from Germany 🇩🇪 We both just did our solo trips around the world. I did Canada 🇨🇦 & Australia 🇦🇺. She did Canada 🇨🇦, New Zealand 🇳🇿, Singapore 🇸🇬, & Thailand 🇹🇭 We’ve been learning about the same part of the world as each other. I’m planning on going to visit twice next year, and hopefully attend Oktoberfest 2025. The only thing that’s guaranteed in life is death and taxes, you gotta go out and take the risk. That’s what I’m doing. This could all fall apart, or it could be a tone hallmark movie. The funny thing was, I wasn’t even looking.

We are!! We're moving to Europe in a few weeks actually ☺️ we'll be a couple hours apart as I'm going to grad school but we'll still see eachother on weekends and holidays 🩷 (it definitely beats being 8 hours apart by plane 😭)
