I remember when I flew into Manila for the first time to meet my filipina girlfriend for the first time. I was so nervous. I had never been outside the u.s.a. before. It was an amazing experience. She waited at the airport for 2 hours before I arrived to make sure that I would not be alone if my flight arrived early.

I did this back in April with my Filipina sweetheart after 14 months of LDR (due to the pandemic). I was both excited and nervous as I went through the terminal, and when I went out I couldn't see her initially, but than she saw me and it was the most profound and beautiful experience ever, like being in a dream. We spent 17 days together touring around Cebu and El Nido. I proposed to her, and I'm now waiting for her visa to come here to Australia for 3 months at a time, until we can sort out a spouse visa. Its not an easy process/journey, and I dare say, leaving her at the airport was the hardest thing I had to experience ever, but the patience is more than worth it, especially when you know you have found "the one." Keep going there, as surely, the best is yet to come!
