Wow, I’m learning so much just from you just hearing you speak makes me feel a bit more confident that I can get by with broken Laotian😅 I’ve enjoyed watching your travels man and it seems like we’re going to be a similar trip when it’s my turn to go visit my parent’s homeland also to visit the relatives who are still alive and those who passed. I think it’s so unreal for you be half way across the world living your best life and also doing some good deeds by recording this for yourself, your family, and for all of us to come along with. Keep up the great work my dude and keep posting
It’s heart warming to see how happy they are to know that you eat the food especially the spice level and speak the language. Wonderful video and family. More blessings to you.
Yep, my Dad is from Pakse. My mom is from Vientiane. I go see my relatives especially my cousins form both side of the family. I bough two houses for my mom and dad's side.
so beautiful you got to visit your mom's birthplace. I also got emotional when I visited the grandparents that/stupa lol Lovely how aunt and uncle got to show you around. Proud you were able to speak Lao as an American. I'm sure we sound funny but it's the effort right lol You must have your dad's accent though, sounds perhaps Savannakhet or Thakhe? beautiful regardless. Hope you get to visit again with your mom with more time. Didn't care that Pakse's often overlooked, just to see where my parents came from, so surreal.
yes totally man! sorry to get back so late but yes i have my fathers accent from savannakhet with a mix of the american accent lol, but yes visiting the homeland was a very heart touching experience!
14:29 Awesome! That yellow building across the right side of street is my Uncle’s House! We are Vietnamese. Our family lived there for over 3-4 generations. And yes, your right. That used to be a movie theater my older sister would always go to as a kid.
