She was so much in shock, literally detached for a couple minutes. Overwhelmed. Understandable. Trace so supportive and he quickly realized he needed to step up to the plate and she leaned on him in look and touch. Then she recovered. What a beautiful moment when she finally realized she'd just given birth and she could actually hold her baby.

Right after I gave birth I couldn’t even look at my baby for a few minutes! It’s a lot! You did amazing Lydia. Beautiful experience- best ever!!!!

Wow such a touching video of your sweet baby Ryker's birth. Thank God for his newest miracle!! Answered prayers for a healthy little guy! Trace you were an amazing supportive husband for Lydia. Congratulations he is so precious and handsome. It was so sweet and priceless seeing Trace pray over him. Lydia had such love in her eyes for Ryker and Trace. I loved seeing Lydia mom seeing him for the first time and how Mrs. Bates let her go first. This was such a sweet video!

Thank you for sharing! Such a special moment to see parents welcoming a child into the world. Congratulations!! Mrs. Bates letting Mrs. Romeike go first to the baby was such a precious, thoughtful thing to do. Both Bates grandparents standing back and letting her get her fill knowing how special that first grandchild is, was so wonderful to watch. Loved that so much.

Aww...it's so exciting having a baby, esp your first! All the fun stuff you get to do after the birth....dressing him up in cute outfits, getting all the snuggly baby cuddles, smelling that sweet baby smell. It's the absolute best isn't it?!? Congratulations y'all he's a handsome lil fella ❤

As a midwife who has helped welcome many babies into the world, I have never seen anyone look so glamorous, especially whilst pushing! You are amazing Lydia. Congratulations to you all again! He is gorgeous 💙

hannahelizabethblog Of course, she is going to look glamorous because she had an epidural and felt no pain. I guarantee you, if she had an unmedicated birth she would be most likely have a red face, be hot, worn out and sweaty. She would most likely not look so glamorous. This is not to body shame her but from someone who has attended medicated and unmedicated births. The medicated births whom have had epidurals seem to look more glamorous in my opinion.

My oldest daughter was born early she weighed 5lb 04oz. She was the tiniest sweetest baby ever. We also had to wake her up every 2 hours to feed throughout the night. When she gained weight we were able to let her wake up for feeding. It was hard especially being first time mom. Sounds like you and Trace are doing an amazing job. You are blessed to have family to help. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy .
