I love how Castiel is so used to no one rescuing him that he looks so surprised when she actually kills Hester. I love how fiercely protective Meg became of Castiel. I wish the character could have come back more but understand it wasn't something Rachel was up for with her health issues.
The angels judge how Cas is lost, how humanity has poisoned him yet what they don't realize is that they themselve are the ones that are lost, they are the one who mindlessly serve heaven without a will of their own. Humanity, especially the Winchesters or Dean to be precise, taught Cas how to truly live, to have free will, to do the right things instead of just being Heaven's lap dog. When Cas laid his hand on Dean in Hell, he wasn't lost, he was found
I really don't know what to talk about in here!the fact that Meg was an amazing character which Winchesters took so long to trust her(understandable considering Ruby also said almost the same things) or the scene with Cas and angels!I loved the way Dean cowered from Hester in anger and nervous when she was getting close to him😁I love this side of him so much!and I wish the angels in this scene especially Inias could survive!he was one of the good ones and a true friend of Cas,and not judgy like the rest!
This scene has a lot of meaning. I mean Dean and Sam didnt even try to save Castiel. she was beating him up and all they did was watch her do it. Even when Cas was crazy he tried to protect Sam and Dean but they did nothing in return. Meg was the one who protected him. She truly did love Cas.
They did try to help him. At 3:11, when she hit Cas the first time, they both started forward instantly, but those two angels stopped them by holding up 2 fingers. Angels are way more powerful than people, and neither Dean or Sam had an angel blade handy. Remember Cas knocks out people with 2 fingers, and it wouldn't have done anyone any good for them to get knocked out while trying to help him. Look at their faces while they have to stand there and watch him get beat up and they can't do anything about it. I think they tried. Nobody was watching Meg, so she had an opening and took it. That's my take on the situation, but everyone has their own opinion. I don't want to start an argument in the comments :)
@@anniesolaris9844 I respect your opinion. I guess to me it seemed (based on other times they've went up against powerful beings) that they didnt even try to fight for Cas. But my point still stands. No one was paying attention to Meg she could've ran away but instead she protected Cas.
YO I would like Meg to stick till the end as Castiel's mate...and angel who learns to have empathy and a demon turns good love each other, that would've been cool! They've could've been a great hunting team who have superpowers on the Winchesters' side...
"The very touch of you corrupts." Great line and I liked Hester. Dean doesn't realize but free will means *gasp* people and angels will disagree with his plans. Dean has hated that the whole series. For someone into free will, he expects complete loyalty.
She doesn't seem like she'd stay in the underdogs team but she's clearly more devoted to castiel than she'd admit. Sam and Dean can go hang but not her unicorn.
