life was easier back in the 90's.. you could win 4 basketball games against some bums and become a pro and scottie pippen would come over to play vs you
I remember actually playing through this and finally beating Pippen. I had to beat Fingers about 50 times to do it, I found the other characters really difficult especially the girl and I just ended up losing respect when playing them so I just focussed on beating Fingers all the time to build up the necessary score.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I struggled with this game as a kid, and people who do let's plays do as well. So it's cool to see someone pretty much nail it.
@@DaDaDo661 I never could get past Juice either so it's nice to see this. Played this on a legit Sega CD and years later via emulator and it's still hard AF.
Man I remember my friend and I renting a Sega CD and this game from the grocery store video store back in like 94-95. We had absolutely NO idea what the hell to do. We very quickly said to hell with this game and the Sega CD lol
You're just basically controlling a cutout sprite in a video clip. Lol they couldn't have done anything better than that? It's not like both the players are sprites anyway.
This FMV crap was all the rage back then. It was terrible then too but somehow a lot of games were done in this style. I use the term game loosely considering all you did was press a button and watch more of a movie most of the time though.
Never knew about this game, but definitely different. Amazed no one has brought up some of these concepts for a newer game or borrowed the style. Thanks for posting.
This game was way beyond its years. I played it back in 94 and even now thinking back about it...imo its legendary. it blows my mind how a pre-recorded video of ur opponent would move laterally in reaction to ur joystick moves. This game is legit. Respect
hope u like microtransactions, gambling, being sold the same game as last year, and getting scammed with preorders than. the future of basketball, everyone!
Edge Ninja came came out 27 years ago come on now lol it was good in the 90s but I see your point. U gotta take in consideration the time and technology then was different, ppl was using beepers then 😂
I still can't believe you beat this game. I've never won a match and this will forever be the childhood game that haunted me. I was pretty good at Mega Man too. What's your secret?
SEGACD 32X is the same as the SEGACD alone version but it has some much needed extra colors. The basketball at the start of Finger's intro looks more orange like in real life on the 32X version
This game is a legit sports title n one of a kind! And if lock them down on Defense you’ll win every time, Especially after steals which is automatic points!
Someone needs to tell Juice that this is SLAM City, not Layup City! Hell, they have those ridiculous somersault obviously trampoline assisted dunks, so why not play up the fantasy some more?
Well, there are alternate endings (sometimes) for matches that change depending on how much you were winning, I think. I saw one in another video where two dudes are arguing with the gambling suit guy because he promised a "blowout" for Ace (player), and Fingers scolds you for "nearly wrecking his sneakers" or something like that. So MAYBE there's an alternate victory animation for the Scottie match where he might react differently, but take it with a grain of salt.
After all, isnt that bad. Sure people complains about it beign a cinematic game but some games do that today aswell... btw the random encounters between the people are the best thing in this game lol
i had this on PC...found it at a computer expo and it worked GREAT....you needed a BUNCH of respect though, so you ended up having to play the "fearsome 4" like 5 times each but it was worth it. and beating scottie was satisfying
@@JeffWarren47 the thing is by the time you get to scottie, uve played the game so much you can see the animated "tells" that they give when you can shoot or drive. so i think i beat scottie on the 2nd try. if i remember he give u a van full of his shoes and stuff
I've known him playing for the Chicago Bulls ever since the 90's.... -.-;;; Who wouldn't know him??? With Kuchoch and Kobe all assembled in a one team for the bulls Bulls before the split up roster -.-
I bet you if they put this on xbox live or psn you would downoad it and play it. It actually isnt that different from the gameplay from nba ballers for xbox
