that was actually really smart. i was wondering why you didnt mega after getting the boost but you were waiting to counter T-tar's sandstream. thank you, you have taught me a valuable lesson
Next video: GMAX CHARIZARD IS ACTUALLY BETTER THAN MEGA CHARIZARD Y After that: CHARIZARD IS ACTUALLY BETTER THAN GMAX CHARIZARD And After that: CHARMELEON IS ACTUALLY BETTER THAN CHARIZARD And finally: CHARAMANDER IS ACTUALLY WORSE THAN CHARMELEON
You're not reliant on the boost, it just helps if you do get it. The team doesn't revolve around the boost but using ancient power when you can is never a bad thing in case you do get that boost. The strategy seems fine to me Also I think you get a max of 8 ancient powers, meaning there's an 80% chance to boost if u use them all. And we all know how often 30% poisons and flinched happen so there's a very good chance you'll be boosted at least once
@@thesirensystem high spa mon with a 100% accuracy special rock move is good in and of itself tbh especially since it counters other fire types. Getting an omniboost seems like a cherry on top. Not sure about the air slash over flamethrower tho
Hmm... Y is more of an immediate threat with Drought and it's high special attack, but a boosted X can rip through a whole team if you have nothing to check it. Imo the strongest point of Charizard's mega is that it has two, and if you guess wrong on which your opponent is using, that could be gg right there. As for which legendary I'd like to see a new form or mega of... Probably Lugia and Ho-oh.
Like I said in the previous video, a huge part of why zard X is so good is because it is the worse mega. If you guess wrong between them then you can easily lose the game. Zard X can end games with one DD but poses comparatively little immediate threat and can be taken care of quite easu=ily due to it's rock weakness and newfound vulnerability to eq. Zard Y is a setter and fantastic abuser of sun, getting a boost to it's best stab and being able to viably run solar beam, which will always hit hard off off a spA approaching 160. Edit: since sun also reduces the power of water type moves, zard Y gets boosted defensive utility on top of the sun support.
'if you guess wrong between them' does that mean that the nicknames and username of the opposing teams could be helpful for you so you could exploit one or maybe two members of their party.
@@realblazing391 I mean in this case, yes, however most of the time you need to look at the rest of the team. Also bear in mind that they have differing weaknesses to rocks, and you can throw them down to hold them off.
The Charizard X video: "Mega Charizard X is better then Y!" This Charizard Y video: "Mega Charizard Y is better then X!" *visible confusion* also ionosphere
My Rhyperior can check X because it loses it's immunity to EQ and can survibe a Flare Blitz, even after Dragon Dance. But Y will usually OHKO Rhyperior because it runs Solar Beam and blam. I am swept because I run a Sun team with Zard Y as my own user/abuser of Sun xD
I might disagree here Pineapplefred. I think right now you can use mega Charizard y more successfully than x because X is the more common one to use. If I see someone use a Charizard, I'm expecting X to be used more often than Y. I'd say x is better than y if nobody has seen either one. Since X is so popular and predicted, Y can do better than it would have otherwise
actually x is better,it had no actually good counters in gen 7 conpetitive,it could sweep in a extremly easy way due to being so powerfull and bulky. you could just play it at the start or start by giving him support with screens and defog if the opponent had stealth rock, just really op
Um setup sweepers are not that consistent for many tournaments matches as switching is literally the main move People tend to use many hard hitters that can come in and threaten a ko This is why many people prefer y over x An on defensive end many people do not tend to count the weakness they mainly focus on resistance which y has much more than x And you are likely not sending out x at first so it will also take 50% on entry and is pretty much dead after that
@@ricktam2841 charizard x didnt need to switch cause it oneshotted basically everything, and if you send x out first turn there wont be stealth rocks on the ground so your last point doesnt make any sense at all. also im not saying that x was good for defensive usage but that he could tank a hit very well for setupping.
both charizard mega are strong for attack use charizard X with tough claw ability for special attack use charizard y for drought ability and higher special attack
