Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this Costco haul! I went to Costco after two and a half weeks of self-isolation we needed to grab some food! Hope you enjoy seeing what my Costco had left on their shelves, and seeing what they were out of! We are a family of 6 and I hope to not have to leave the house again for another couple of weeks! newby2014 our county got a “D” for adhering to the stay home order. This means we have only reduced outings by 10-20%! I know I’m part of that small percentage, but people are crazy.

Really? I see lots of people walking. People ive never seen before. However, on the road, its like an apocalypse movie, barely any cars, and last i went to target, only a couple cars, walked in to all the carts taped off and someone cleaning a cart for me. I saw two others in the store, and one single cashier. It was 7pm and they close at 9. Walmart was busier, but its very quiet. Its like everyone is on a mission.

Don’t do the blow dryer thing! It dries out your nose causing it to crack inside which makes it more prone to infection

I find it helpful to apply the smallest amount of vaseline to my nose to keep it wet when going out in public. My oncologist always told me you are more susceptible to viruses when your nose is dry.

Since March 15, I have been home and slept in my own bed 4 nights. Surgeon from the Chicago area working pretty much non-stop doing whatever I can, wherever I can. The governor of Illinois extended the stay at home order through April 30. When I get a break, if I don’t sleep, I watch a couple of my favorite RU-vidrs for some real life outside the hospital. Thanks for making me chuckle - I enjoy your channel! Be well. 🌷

You're doing an awesome job! Please take vitamin c to build up your immunities, I've read the CDC website about previous pandemics and vitamin c was mentioned a few times. In 2009 (another Pandemic year) there was a study where patients took as little as 200 mg of vitamin c which reduced the death rates by 80%. Item 2. The patients who tested positive for coronavirus were given IV drip of 24,000 mg of vitamin c. I wondered if it's possible to overdose on vitamin c? But regardless I've been treated for a brain tumor 5 years ago so I take 1,000 mg of vitamin c with my Centrum vitamin. I have beat an abcessed tooth without antibiotics so that's the plus!

YES! I told my husband that its "strange" being out. It feels like panic is in the air. Less you are our less chances of spreading it! Good for you! I have been calling, face timing with friends and it helps! But its just not the same ;( . This too shall pass!

It's so frustrating because normally I would be out like "ehhh....I won't get it." And that's still my mind set but I just want this to be over so I can resume my life...and people are playing with my time! Aldi and Walmart are across the street so I can readily just shop every day for what I want but I have stocked up and hunkered in trying to do my part...and I feel like I"m wasting my time :(

@@JolieUTU I feel like you can tell the people out for errands. I heard someone say they go grocery shopping 2 or 3 times a week because it's the only time they go out. What?! I'm focusing on people out on "walks" and at the ones at the park or talking to others "from a distance" That option is there for necessity not for socializing. That being said I dont want to argue I think we can all agree we just want to go back to our normals.

Brilliant But Blue me too! My family now goes to the supermarket if we’re really low on food in the fridge and cabinets. I’ve been taking advantage of the pantry challenge lol so my family and I have been able to use up a lot lol but if I have to go, it’s once a week and only go to Sam’s Club and Stop and shop :)

@@BustasGirl1: Eating stuff l make at home. Always a well stocked pantry and freezer. There is only 2 of us in this house so not much to feed. I go for a 6-8km run though for exercise in a forest nearby. Hope that helps.

Have had to leave the house every day. I work in two children's hospitals as a nurse tech (pediatric oncology/NICU), so I don't have the option to stay at home all day, any day. I would go stir crazy within 24 hours if I had to completely self-quarantine so I'm actually grateful for work lol and I like to support local businesses so I have been getting occasional take-out meals once in a while too :)

Oh no I was mandatory quarantine in my house 14 days the outside it’s still only for the essentials. I live in a military base and we are no longer allowed to leave the base.

I usually leave the house about once a week but,when I do go out I make sure I'm 💯 protected. I wear gloves and face mask. When I get home I throw my clothes in the washer and I take a shower right away!!! I live in upstate New York.

I had to go to costco twice last week. The line out the door is because they're checking how many people they let into the store at a time, to manage social distancing. the guys who check your costco card have just become bouncers... Also, i work in healthcare (not in an actual hospital, i work in a clinic) so I've been out every day through this. I kind feel like I'm gonna die every morning..

Robin Robertson at the beginning when our govt said to treat this as if it's the flu, I read the CDC website about previous pandemics and vitamin c was mentioned a few times so I took notes. 1. In 2009 (another pandemic year) flu patients took as little as 200 mg of vitamin c which reduced the death rates by 80%. 2. Patients who tested positive for coronavirus in China were given IV drip of 24,000 mg of vitamin c which made me wonder if it's possible to overdose on vitamin c? Regardless, I've been taking 1,000 mg of vitamin c with my Centrum vitamin which totals 1100 mg daily. I say that bc almost 5 years ago I was treated for a brain tumor caused by fecal matter contaminated drinking water. I've contacted Erin Brockovich Ellis who said I've already won the case but I can't find an environmental Atty to take the case! I'm just trying to get thru this mess safely so I can make our govt clean up the water issues. It should be a no brainer item after this nightmare!

We haven't been out in 3 weeks. Have groceries and all delivered and then wipe off every single thing with disinfecting wipes. This is just what helps us to feel better. Each person has to do what works for them! :) So many showers, sooo much washing hands etc etc. Husband and daughter both have allergies so each time they sneeze or cough I freak out a little bit lol (just inside, I don't show it lol). Great haul and good job not touching your face. It's amazing how difficult that actually is lol!! Praying you all stay Happy, Safe and Well! God Bless. HUGS

Dude I went grocery shopping for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday. I was a nervous wreck and basically had several meltdowns (I'm talking grown up turned child, meltdown), in the process of leaving. Not my proudest moments, but I was extremely relieved once I was done and sanitized to a reasonable degree. Ugh I hate being a germaphobe. Lol. We'll all get through this! ❤

Oddly enough I’m awake at this hour. Haven’t gone out too much. Especially everything we’ve been through this last month. Wish we could get essentials :( let alone shopping at Costco would be a dream come true right about now. Losing our household income from this was the worst thing for us during this virus. Yes, Kim,, Vitamin C and Zinc throughout the year is best. Also, Zinc is also very good for kids during puberty with skin problems/acne.. A lot have a zinc deficiency and don't even know it.

Kim also wipe down any food that has plastic especially, or paper. As always wash your veggies and fruits before eating. You did good on your shopping. I sanitize my groceries, and wash everything (like every single item/bag/fruit) I can, and take out of boxes/etc. Then sanitize the counters and throw away the bags. I feel like Im in another world. Like... ill wake up soon. Anyway! Thanks for the videos!

I did this today. It took just as long to sanitize everything as it did to grocery shop. I feel exhausted from the heightened awareness of an invisible danger. It was nice that the store were stocked except for hand soap. Did people just now start washing the hands in America? I need to get about 10 more items so we (really me) can stay in for the next two weeks.

I do the same. When I get packages I put gloves on when I bring it in and open than throw out rite away than sanitize my items. Some people think it's crazy but literally think of how many people touched those things, esp at grocery stores!!

I am not sure if it was mentioned yet, but the line getting in was most likely due to them allowing only a certain number of people in at a time. If you need baby wipes, I have a homemade recipe. You need a container big enough to put half of a roll of paper towels. Cut (preferably Bounty or whichever you have) in half, set aside. Pour 2 cups warm water into the container and add 2 tbsp each of baby bath and baby oil. Then put the half roll of paper towel cut side down in to the container. Cover turn over so that the water gets absorbed. Then take the middle core out and you have baby wipes!

We’ve been home for 8 days. That’s when my work said to work remotely. Feels like a month. My partner is still going to work each day. So I’m spraying door knobs, light switches, the garbage can, sink, toilet, and cabinet handles, etc every single morning. Every time I’m tempted to go into town, I remember I can just order what a I need or wait for a grocery run.

I just spent $400 on groceries yesterday because i’m trying SO HARD to not get out often. I was honestly shocked at how many people were at the store though, i honestly don’t think i’ve ever seen stores so packed on a week day. Our stores are pretty much back to normal on food except for rice and eggs. I shouldn’t have to get out again for 2 weeks & i hope everything goes back to “normal” soon. I love roasting those baby potatoes they’re definitely my favorite 💕 If i am buying sauce in a jar that’s the kind i buy! It’s the best jarred one in my opinion!

We typically go grocery shopping twice a week, on a Wednesday & a Saturday. The grocery shops (Lidl & Aldi) are right behind the corner, so it's easy for us. Most of the people out there have stopped hoarding, so it's getting easier to shop! For sure! :) Except disinfectant wipes, handsoap and hand lotion, those seem to be out of stock! We don't have mouth masks, but we have latex gloves and we wear them!

I go at 9 and no wait might go back tomorrow for a few things. Well my kids do school 8 to 4 but that includes chores, and long walk everyday!! They are free do whatever after 4 every evening .

Before all of this mess, that is actually how I touch my face if I need to. I'm the Interventionist at an elementary school, so there are a lot of germs, especially during flu season. Also, if I go out, whether it is work or grocery shopping, when I get home I wash my hands and then change into different clothes. I was paranoid and a germaphobe way before this. lol

I think they just made that ruling here in Florida as well, but this video was filmed at the end of March, so this was the point in time where they were telling people not to buy masks -- to save them for workers. :)

I live in the U.K and we are on the “ lockdown “ . I belong to the high risk group and been advised to stay at home for 12 weeks. Now they are talking to expand this stay at home period to 6 months.

@@thewadsquad the 6 months are just gonna be for people who are elderly or have underlaying health issues like diabetis etc. We do not know if that will happen though as they have no idea how the virus situation is gonna be than. Schools are closed till September.so for now the elderly and people with underlaying health issues are the ones with the 12 weeks.

I'm immunocompromised so I've only been out once a week ago to do grocery pickup. And traffic was awful that day despite a county stay at home order. Since then we've gotten a statewide stay at home order and they've closed all parks because people kept having parties and using playgrounds. We're doing grocery deliveries now despite the added cost since the epidemiologists are saying it's less the items you touch but more the people near you in the store that'll infect you.

Please don't do the blow-dryer thing. That was said by an official that doesnt understand how to sanitize properly. If you heat your nose to 130° you'll seriously burn your face. If you're really concerned, just wash your face with soap and water. 😊 I'm about to go grocery shopping today for the first time in 12 days and I wish I could go to Costco but it's on the other side of town.

Me too! But I have drs. appts. too. If I'm not at work or essential drs. appt. I'm at home. I have been using Amazon, chewy and Shipt/instacart for my food and misc. That is when there are things in at those places. I always use them though. I don't like to shop or run into prior inmates. (Shipt is a shopper who delivers to your house.) I'm in Florida and you still have the people that are out and don't care. I think it is because they are not connected to anyone that has had it. I guess I have limited friends. I also think that alot of people here had the virus the last of the year, beginning of this year. We all got tested for the flu and strep but it all came back neg. Same symptoms,Strange.

I said the same thing about how busy the streets are, almost as though life hadn't changed, but then I thought...maybe people were driving just to get out to see the world. I'm glad you were able to get all you needed! Thank you for keeping all of us going during this time of uncertainty ❤️🙏!

We only leave the house for groceries, once every 2wks. We go to Costco so we don’t have to go out any other time. We also only send 1 person. Either me or my husband. Our Costco has started limiting people and there were only 10 others in the store last time. I also bleach our packages and leave dry foods out in the garage for a few days before bringing them in.

I’ve had to leave every day. Just for the supermarket. Even tho my family usually has a “stockpile” of supplies we ran out of most things right in the middle of panic buying. But now that the panic buying has slowed down we still can only get so many things at once due to limits on items. With 6 people in our house and buying for my elderly father it’s the only way to can actually get supplies. It’s so unfortunate the way people are handling this situation.

With the smaller stores if you tell them you are shopping for more then 1 family they will allow you to get more. I work at a smaller grocery store and we have people coming in shopping for the elderly and they're selves. So they are allowed to do double.

Kim, I go out one time a week to get enough groceries to last for a week. One of the scariest things is you can be completely asymptomatic and be spreading it. According to Dr Tony Fauchi.

He‘s right, you could be either before showing symptoms or will never show them and still spread it. The less you can be around other people, the better for you and everybody else.

I haven’t been out for nearly 6 weeks. (U.K) We went into ‘lockdown’ early due to health issues. Fortunately we have a garden. Husband goes once a week for fresh food at a small local shop. And we’ve still been able to get our usual monthly store cupboard delivery. He wears a mask takes all possible precautions and we’ve turned front hallway into a ‘dirty’ zone. He leaves clothes there. Shoes in a box. If possible anything coming into house stays there 3 days. Fresh foods sanitised washed etc. It takes ages but.... We’re fortunate in that he can work from home and is busier than ever teaching online etc.

It’s so refreshing finally seeing someone taking the virus seriously. I’ve been isolating for 4 weeks so far. Only going to Drs Appt (pregnancy), and to go to supermarket once. I’m not risking getting others sick, or my own family. Everyone else here though 🙄. They are treating this like it’s a free holiday. It seems like No one stays home.

Unfortunately, we are all home, at least people I know. I only went to groceries 2 since March 16th. Everything is closed in any way. I am painting my windows. Not great, either, as I have a headache painting so much.I wish everyone health and happiness.

Vitamin c in general helps strengthen the inmune system, however, if you consume it in excess it can also cause health problems. Non to mention that the body usually pees out the vitamins that it doesn’t need, so you are flushing money down the toilet. In general, eating fresh fruits and vegetables in the daily recommended amounts should cover vitamin needs, including vitamin c. Fruits like Guava, Bell peppers and kiwi have a lot more vitamin c than orange, for example. Also, vitamin c is extremely sensitive to temperature, oxygen and light, so I wouldn’t trust clear/light packaging for vitamin c, non to mention that for making gummies you need to apply temperature. Honestly, people are better off just eating a guava or two fresh each day. I personally prefer bell peppers, I just dice them and add them to salads and eat them fresh regularly.

I go out once a week. I made a run some weeks ago when schools announced ‘stay at home’ and before limit shopping, although I was still courteous. But I knew I would need extra food as I have 3 children, ages 12, 16, & 20 all athletes, appetites PLUS I had 3 additional international athletes in my house. They have since returned home. So, I was stocked, but go once a week to always have a rotation of 2 milks in my fridge as now it is limited to one purchase. My shopping is small amounts but weekly. Also because of this I cannot visit my parents as my dad is diabetic.

I was actually standing in our Costco last night in Boise, ID during our EARTHQUAKE. It was so weird I was in the back by all the high racks searching for TP and the high racks were rattling. Took me about 5 seconds to hear someone say earthquake and me to realize being directly under towering metal racks was not the best place to be. The struggle is real. My plan is to not leave except for grocery pick up for fresh items during the whole month of May. We are all stocked up fridge and freezer and we have some chickens for fresh eggs. I was going to do Instacart every item was $3-$7 more, CRAZY!

It is recommended to take all of your items out of the original packages in your garage or by your front door for those who do not have a garage.. Also, wash the fruit in cold water and put them in another container. Since you have all your items on your counter, you need to disinfect the area after you put your items away.

I refuse to do virtual school. I'm not a teacher I'm a mom. I'm 8 months pregnant my job is to keep my kids alive fed and clothed. They can deal with it when they go back in the fall.

I had went thru my closet and need to go thru dresser now...I bought some sell items thru online shopping at Old Navy and out of many items, only keeping one...so online is hard because now I have returns to make... My daughter and I like Tjmaxx or marshalls as well they have a good variety of tops and other items...I like all that you found, and hope I will have good luck as well...tfs 👍💕😎

When you said why is everyone out I wonder that myself when I leave the house but I only leave the house once every 6 days I only go when I need something major!I live in Leesburg Florida and I go to Walmart and it is always packed and I go once every 6 days but you ride by there it's already packed it's like what is people doing I feel your pain 😭

Going outside everyday at Chinatown. Like a ghost town everyday. A lot of stores are closed for many days. Peoples are wearing a mask and gloves too.

We go out once a week for groceries if we're in desperate need of something, it's really bad here in queens, ny. I wear a mask and take my own cart and keep my distance unlike many others. My husband is a healthcare worker so he's actually exposed to positive people so we really do try as a family to not go anywhere if we can.

Yes, the virus stays on a surface for 3 days unless you clean it off with disinfectant cleaners. This is how the virus is spreading, not directly from person to person.

I have not been out since ~March 18th. I don't plan on leaving my apartment till after April 20. Hoping and praying this virus will be gone by then as I am highly susceptible with an already compromised immune system.
