It's always when we say " Ok, one more Target and I'm going to call it for the day" And Mother nature says stay a while longer I've got something you might want to see. Love that area between the sink holes and the history it's like a playground! Happy travels! Beeps.

Very cool video beau. I found some piles of rocks like you found last year and I thought they were native american burials or cairns. I asked the property owner and he told me that farmers a looong time ago, when clearing their fields for farming, would pick up those rocks and pile them up outside of the field. I also heard they would pile them up to determine property boundaries. Can't wait for summer so I can watch some of your stream exploring videos! Just love watching you find those civil war shells and bullets!

Just found your channel. I use to ride in an I.T.V. when I was a young brand new Infantryman. I grew up in Maryland, not far from many civil war sites/battlefields. Back then I never owned a detector, but I use to wander the woods with my eyes scanning looking for signs of sites.

Scaly bark hickory, slow grower in the Ohio Valley as far south as Memphis and north as NY. I had multiple large specimens on the lake I grew up on and frequently tugged on their "whiskers" as a kid. Very cool trees and I cracked a huge smile smile it popped up.

Chigg go to a health food store and get yourself some Marshmellow Root tea. 1 heaping tablespoon and cover with boiled water. Let it steep 20 mins with a sage leaf. Strain off and drink. If you don’t have a sage leaf add a pinch of powdered sage to the cup after you strain it. Do this when you feel a cold coming on and you will NEVER have cold. Do it each time you feel a cold coming on. If you wait till the cold if full on it’s not as effective.

Sapsucker woodpeckers make 1/4 to 3/8 inch closely spaced holes in the bark to remove the sap. Usually several favorite trees are selected and nearby trees may be untouched. After many holes are drilled, the tree may be girdled or damaged by it.

I’ve been watching your videos for some time now. We live south of Tupelo MS and south of Brice’s cross roads. We do not have a metal detector YET. I have been looking at Civil War time maps and comparing them to present day long story short we found a complete Civil War complete brick. Story has it either the Confederate army or the Union camped out a while on our property. The Confederate Army had an military hospital in Nettleton MS south of us that the Union army captured not sure how since Major General Nathan Bedford Forrest was in this area. Well we have 5.2 acres to search will let you know what we find. Thanks for teaching and sharing your videos. I will be the one whose wife will be fussing at me until we find something expensive hahahah

I am sure that there are those that have left negative comments about you keeping your "homesite" a secret and not showing photos of the area to protect it for yourself. As a fellow detectorist, and outdoorsman, I can relate to your feeling the way you do. Yes, competition can be fierce, and those that "hunt" an area can definitely identify an area from photographs if they are local to the area. I know of those that have lost great metal detecting sites, mushroom sites, ginseng sites, hunting and fishing spots, etc., because they shared a photograph. Long story short, I can appreciate not only your keeping a secret, but also the fact that you admitted to doing such!
