Congratulations Dr. Aaron on this spectacular find. And Mark has prepared it beautifully, as we have come to expect from his talented hands. Your excitement was palpable as I found myself holding my breath and fingers crossed with each chisel strike, that you would be well rewarded.

I know nothing about fossils but somehow discovered the videos whilst scrolling through some shorts. But I’ve become almost addicted to watching the nodules being chiseled out of the shale. I’ve no idea why I find the sight and sound of the shale crumbling quite so fascinating but I do! Long may these videos keep coming

I really enjoy your fossil hunts. I wish that you would take the time to explain some of the differences in the various ammonite species. You are able to readily identify the species. I wish that you would explain some of the defining characteristics. Thanks!

I have no idea what the protocol is, but that is such an amazing size, and to be so complete to the point colour and detail are so visible, wouldn't a museum want to have it as a protected piece. I think the work you do is phenomenal. History King's should be your names

Almost 50 years ago, when I was trekking up the Gandalki river valley in Nepal to Jomosom, I spent an hour looking for fossils. The river was very shallow, and many rocks were exposed. I managed to find some smalll ammonites, fully exposed, and by breaking some promising rocks I found a few more specimens, which I still have today. BUT...I also came across a full exposed ammonite roughly 10 inches in diameter, and roughly 5 inches thick, weighing about 10 pounds. A beautiful thing! Trouble was, to bring it back with me I would have had to walk 50 miles with it in my backpack. No way. So, regretfully, I took a photo of it and left it in the river. BUT...I used to mail my slide film rolls to a friend working at Eastman Kodak, for him to process and also get a first-look at my travels, which then were pretty extensive. And---wouldn't you know it---that roll was destroyed in the mail!!! Also, when I was sending some stuff I had collected in India and Nepal, the clerks packing it up saw the small ammonites I had collected and thought they were blocks of hashish!!! I explained that they were "saligrams". After consulting among themselves and sniffing the rocks, they packed them up.

Look at those cliffs- you don't see an enormous deposit that buried a bunch of sea creatures rapidly? How can you not see it's form- you really think there could be that many creatures buried whole & live, preserved? There was an event. A huge event. Start looking at the rock, and see that it was all wet at the same time. Irs monolithic. It's a massive deposit. Here in Australia we have the same thing- and the fossils are whole- I have a clam fossil with its two halves together- complete. They open up when they die- so this thing was alive when buried. Also- I have seen stasis- where I have found live chittons- living on the same rocks as fossil chittons are buried. They are complex creatures- 8 separate armoured sections, which are also separate valves- they can ball up like a slater bug on your hand when lifted. Stasis is shown in the fossil record. The flood was recent. Open your eyes. Jake

Evolution offers humanity a future as dirt, why would anyone want to see that proven true? God demonstrated his creativity and genius to all mankind through a gigantic planet full of amazing creatures on which he has placed us. We live here with the clear knowledge that our stay is temporary. No one is wondering what God requires from them. He requires us to do what is right. He placed a conscience in our minds which clearly warns us before we take any wicked actions or make any selfish choices. He offers us mercy for sins(the times when we have violated that conscience.) Surrender while you can.
@yourfriendlyneighborhoodin1559
How do you get to hell? Very simple: claim that you're innocent. How do you get to heaven? Very simple: Admit that you're not Innocent, you're guilty and ask for mercy. How to know if you're guilty or not? Simply: Compare your life to the Ten Commandments God gave you in the Bible. Everyone agrees that if people followed the ten commandments there would be no need for governments or police. Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not commit adultery. Do not insult God by using his name as a cuss word. There are six more but let's just leave it at that. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Jesus said, if you look at a women lustfully you've already committed adultery in your heart with that woman. How many times a day do you do that? Do you use God's name as a cuss word? Would you do that with your own mother's name? If you answer these questions honestly you know that you're guilty. God can justly punish you and send you to hell. Ask him for mercy. His name is Jesus. It's as simple as this, The Ten Commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke God's laws. Jesus paid the fine. The fine is death. Ezekiel 18:20 - "The soul who sins shall die. That's why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins. This is why God is able to give us Mercy. Option A. You die for your own sins. Option B. Ask for mercy and accept that Jesus died on the cross for you.
@yourfriendlyneighborhoodin1559
Evolution vs food. Food disproves evolution. Every organism no matter how small either manufacturers or collects food or it would die very quickly. Every organism identifies, ingests, digests, filters, stores, and excretes food. It has to identify the difference between food or rock. It must ingests food through a specialized opening designed to intake only food and nothing else. The food itself is useless until it is digested, a complex multi-stage process all by itself. If it cannot store the energy from the digested food at least temporarily it would die. Then it must filter the waste products or die from internal toxicity. And then excrete the waste products through an orifice specifically designed to excrete the waste and only the waste, the precious blood or cytoplasm must remain inside the body. An Evolutionist wants you to believe that a life-form came together in the beginning with all of these features in place with no help and no time for natural selection... this would be the equivalent of a car capable of making another car inside of itself... because if it cannot reproduce it would be forever alone and die from old age. God created life.
