Thanks! I use Neural DSP Nolly and Gojira plugins for guitars but I've found that the right third party Inpulse Responses are what makes the guitars pop more in the mix. Of course there's some post processing with eq, compression and exciter plugins. For rhythm guitars there is really little low end on the sound so that it doesn't have to fight with the bass making the mix muddy.
@@GuitarWanker90 Ok, I use Neural DPS stuff and the cleans sound good. But it's always a little too muffled for my liking when trying to do a big soaring lead, and just haven't been able to crack it.
@@ChrisLT Yeah the cleans are awesome right from a preset, but as I said before, the IRs make a huge difference on distorted tones. You should try some free ones with Neural. Bogren Digital has great packs for metal tones but they aren't free.
