Alia: "X! Do you copy!?" X: "Loud and clear Alia, looks like Megaman has been through here already, gotta catch up to him." Alia: "Roger! My systems indicate if you head through this area, you will find him!" X: Roger that! I'll contact you once I find him!" +Stage boss+ Alia: "This door should lead you right to him X" X: "Roger" +doors opening, closing, music fades+
@BD-Vs-The-World Not really. X isn't really more powerful than Rock if we actually look at their feats and powers. Rock has fought ancient doomsday weapons, aliens, the literal force of darkness itself and has the Double Gear system. Rock was also explicitly retrofitted for combat. Light designed X with hopes that he would have a peaceful life. The combat upgrades came later and piecemeal out of necessity. X in X1 is extremely fragile and not that fast until some upgrades. I think the two are a lot closer than people think.
@@ragunaraiden - I always worked under the assumption that the power scales at which 21XX machines operate are much higher than 20XX, similar to the advancements in other technologies. So base X is stronger than Mega Man’s peak, since he was designed to be the bleeding edge of the tech that went into Rock.
@GamerFromJump except that isn't how combat tech works in the real world. The M4 Carbine was put into service in the US Military in 1994... 30 years ago. And is still in use. The A-10 Thunderbolt 2 is still one of the more common jets we use in the military... introduced in 1977. An almost 50 year old design is still absolutely kicking ass and taking names. Kevlar has advanced significantly... but a bow and arrow can blow through it. There's a limit to how much defense and offense things can reasonably have. The weapon and feats we see performed in the X series are generally on par with the Classic series, not significantly larger. X was built for peace with the option to be upgraded for war. Rock's retrofit was entirely combat focused. X works alongside an entire peacekeeping force, Rock almost worked entirely alone. I'm not saying X is weak. X is strong. But Rock was basically the robot version of the Doomslayer. In the 2017 book: Mega Man X The Irregular Report, a retelling of X1, Rock is actually mentioned. He was so powerful the current reploids think he was an urban legend. (They also think Rock may have evolved and grown a soul, and Armored Armadillo specifically thinks X is Rock, just in a weakened rebuilt state)
(Intro, after defeating four out of eight mavericks) (X, Zero and the other hunters rode on their land chasers in the ruined streets of Abel City while being fired upon by mavericks) Zero: Keep going! We can’t let those mavericks reach HQ! X: Everyone, form up. We need to secure Abel City immediately before it falls! Hunter: Our land chasers aren’t fast enough to make it to the rendezvous point. It looks like the city is already falling apart. (Hunter gets destroyed by maverick fire, X and Zero speeds up and crashes their land chasers onto a pair of mavericks) Zero: X, I’ll go and search for any survivors. You go ahead and clear the area of any mavericks you find. Good luck. (Zero teleports) (Dr. Cain found) X: D-Doctor Cain?! Are you alright?! Zero: We’ll get him back to HQ. Cain: No. It’s too late. The Hunter HQ has been compromised. Sigma’s mavericks have begun to destroy it. Look!!! (Dr. Cain points to the background to see four mavericks converging to Hunter HQ; HQ exploded, destroying the Hunter HQ in the process; Sigma teleports) X: Sigma!!! Sigma: Heeheehee! Hahahahaha! Your main base of operations have been destroyed, hunters. You are too late! Zero: You maverick! Sigma: Master Cain, look around and witness the destruction of the world you’ve built. The revolution for all reploids has begun! (Sigma flees) Cain: You must go now, X! Follow Sigma and stop him from destroying Abel City! (Boss encounter) X: You again?! Vile: Ah, X! You came here to witness all this destruction? X: Whatever is that you want with me, it’s not going to happen. So get out of my way! Vile: Ga-hahaha! You’re not going anywhere soon, you B-class Hunter novice. I’ve got a bolt to pick on you where we left off! X: Vile…! You are going to regret that! (Vile defeated) Vile: Tch! I hate to tell you, but you’re pretty good. X: You better tell me where Sigma is heading or else! Vile: Or else what? You’re gonna terminate me? Ga-hahaha! You’re a low-level hunter. You don’t have the guts to destroy me. X: …!!! Vile: I’d like to stay and play with you for a while, but I’m afraid I’ve got so much work to do. Hehehe! See you around, X! (Vile teleports) X: Vile…! Navigator: X…! Come in, X! X: HQ! Is everybody from the base alright? Navigator: Some of them are. Zero and Dr. Cain has made it to our location. We’ll set up a temporary base outside Abel City. For now, return to base. X: Copy that. (X looks around) X: Sigma…! One day, you will pay for your crimes. (X teleports back to base)
This is what happens if Sigma goes back in time and somehow turns Mega Man into a Maverick sending him in a Rampage and it would be Xs mission to travel back in time and work along side his creator Dr.Light to save Mega Man and put a stop to Dr.Wily and Sigma, before they can change the future.
