Mega Man 8 - All Bolt Locations (How To Get All 40 Bolts)

Today I learned the mega ball jump

Nice comprehensive guide! I found the last missing 2 Bolts in my gameplay using your video and didn't even realize that one of them was just in plain sight. I first played Megaman 8 in year 1999 and the game is still fun 24 years later in year 2023. :) To add to the guide, the Bolts at 5:47 and 6:00 can also be obtained by breaking the ice blocks with Flash Bomb instead of the Flame Sword (although Frost Man's stage still requires a revisit due to needing Astro Crush to break the floor at 5:47).

I didn't there were this many bolts in the game. Some blink-you-miss-it spots too, thank you for your guide.

2:34 Another thing you can do to get that Bolt, is to jump to the last skull shaped platform, and before it collapses, jump and use the Astro Crush (taking care of that flying enemy in the process), and by the time the weapon's animation has ended, the platform will be in position again, giving you chance to land again and make a more precise jump to the next platform that has the Bolt.

This is a great guide. I was able to get all of the 40 bolts thanks to your guide.

This is a very underrated game, nice video, I managed to get 39 bolts, only missed one

I remember the mega ball jump and music!! This game was treated a bit harsh now, I realize, voice acting is just the one thing to improve, the rest is NICE! The colors are VIBRANT! And the bolt hunting was actually fun! The upgrades too! This was Unique!

The Energy Balancer and Energy Saver are the only MUST HAVE items. Those will cost you 10 bolts.

The one at 8:30 is so difficult that you need to be frame perfect to have the T.Claw latch onto the pole and get the bolt.

To get the second to last bolt in Frost Man's stage,you can also use the flash bomb.

I need to put this down for anyone using the Sega Saturn version to find them its different like 6:17 same area but you'll find a ladder that leads to a gate and you'll fight cut man for the bolt 6:45 the bolt is not in the flash bomb room on that platform instead it's on search man's stage and before the continue point you have to fight wood man for the bolt So yeah hope this helps

As I remember at the very first start of clown man stage, you can shoot a ball aim for the clown's mouth gate. If the ball succesfully entered, the mouth will spit bolt... or a helmet (life)? I forget.
