The fact that this is an actual Genesis game and not a fan game made using a third party tool is insane. When the full game is released I for sure will buy a eeprom and a custom case for my collection.
@@SonicSlicer No, Capcom would steal these ideas into their Megaman games. Rest in peace Nitro Man from Mega Man Unlimited and rest in peace Fuse man from Mega Man Rock Force. And most of all, rest in peace Acid Man literally by every single Mega Man artist
I once held to this thinking. Of late Capcom has shown it really is more or less just like any other corporate entity. They'll ignore it, then they'll try to steal it, then like Nintendo did about AM2R, they'll try to answer to it with something of their own which will fall short...and continue to spite their "problem" customers whom they aren't pandering to.
Would it be possible to add a "NES movement" toggle? I never liked that extra step taken when changing directions in WW, it throws off my timing. Anyway this is excellent, looking forward to the finished game.

Is this on a different game engine than Wily Wars, or is it actually a hack? I only found out about this about a week ago. Cuz if it's a rom hack... this means repro gear can actually put it on genuine hardware...and people can experience it the way the original was. Because this is honestly a game that should've been. And once it's done it *will* be.
The only thing that really bugs me about the Genesis remakes are the little "tiptoe" in Mega Man's walk cycle. Like, he doesn't step forward with his foot, his step stops a little short and it looks like he's tiptoeing...
@@Zeffarian oh i mean a remake that doesn't have the ass pixelwork of the wily wars and the hideous music style of the genesis. I guess a proper remake would either be in the style of mm11 or still in pixel art but definitely not like the genesis. Wily wars sucked as a whole and it shouldn't be continued
You know the point of Wily Wars was to make 16-bit remakes of Mega Man 1-3 with the layouts being EXACT, right? 4-6 should have had exact levels, not custom shit.
Even if it will be with original level designs, who cares for the criteria of wily wars only remaking the graphics? This is called sequel and is a fan made work, it can be done differently in either way, and it does still include updated graphics. Wily wars did as well introduce Wily Tower, which is an original story idea by capcom, so you could even till it is a nice change of pace, and it works similarly here with the extra mode with various level design.
