Mega Man X and X2 - Multitask Challenge (Simultaneous Runs, Same Input)

Both games played simultaneously with the same input. I love a challenge, so I proposed this synchronized playthrough to myself. It's not a fully optimized or perfect run to be taken seriously, but something intense & challenging I wanted to put myself to the test with. Enjoy!

2:36:08 - Final Stage
2:39:05 - FINAL BATTLE!

Aura Puffs Also, out of curiosity, do you use the standard button layout? I generally switch dash to R. Makes it easier to dash, jump and shoot all at once.

Holy........ All of human history has been building to this. The micro all over the place, but especially in the last 3 minutes in order to get the simultaneous end boss kills. Isn't it sort of unfair though, since clearly AuraPuffs IS mega man? Confucius says: if a mega man beats two mega mans does he become mega mega mega mega man? Sage words.. Mega props man, this is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen in my life. Thank you for your dedication!

andrew higdon He probably means ads throughout the video, which is a fairly normal thing on YT when you're dealing with really long videos. It is Mega Man though, so it's entirely possible Capcom would get the ad revenue.

Kitsch Blues You have to be commentating over a gameplay video in order to be able to use monetisation. That said, you could still switch it on and hope No-one complains. I'd say this at least covers the transformative requirement. The rules RU-vid gives to specify commentary though.

This is absolutely incredible to watch and the timing that you are able to pull off between both games concurrently is mind blowing! I really, REALLY want to see the version with Aurapuffs' mic audio turned on, because I think that would add in his personality, which is also amazing. KUDOS on this, Aura! Man, congratulations, it's awesome! But I need tell you something, in the "farm" locations in megaman x2 (bubble crab stage) you can farm how many times you want, you don't need restart the level...

Watched this entire thing and it was engaging the whole time. I jumped up and yelled at 1:16:16. I felt your pain. The end was fantastic. Perfect. I'd love a sort of highlights commentary track. Seems like some cool tricks between manipulating the start menus and dashes. It'd be cool to hear about some of the trouble parts that were the toughest to manage both as well as what lined up hilariously perfect without trying.

I've played up to 40 clients of the same game at one time using a single input device(Everquest, using Isboxer) but never two different games using the same input. I thought I was good, but this is just something else.

bandkaih Creator of Megaman left Capcom...and started his own crowdfunded project, Mighty No. 9 which is a "spiritual successor" to both Megaman and X, and slated to come out this year for every console.
