Yea it's only that much more depressing that this isn't a real game, but a phone game instead.......what a wasted opportunity........

Sadly, that's the best part of this game. Even for a gacha game, it's pretty shitty gameplay wise. At least the artwork/models look really good. You can tell the artists were true fans of the series.

@@AlastorShadow0 the models are made in for the Maverick Hunter X engine for the PSP so someone can probably port them over there by messing with some things

Then again that's all it is... nostalgia trip with no susbtance whatsoever. Sometimes i wish Capcom had an entire team dedicated to making good Megaman games. Would certainly beat all this gacha crap.

There are good examples like Fate Grand Order, Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact and Punishing Gray Raven that manage to deliver good gameplay + narrative and with nice production values to boot. That's why this game feels lame compared even to contemporary gacha games.

@@victorteste5325 I totally forgot about Genshin. Thanks. I honestly have little reference to go on. idk about the others except genshin and Fate GO. Fate GO has often has some good writing, (though it does vary from arc to arc). Though its gameplay is kinda.... meh.. (And for the money Fate GO rakes in ,the production value funding writing and other bits can afford to keep cycling. ) but this one? I doubt it had much in the way of financial resources. firstly, it suffers from lack of Waifus or women in general... Megaman has an intense fan base and Capcom recently began to see that they can market it, but that audience wasn't really a target market for a gacha. There will be overlap but it's not as much as say with fans of Fate. So unlike Fate or genshin I doubt Capcom or whoever was commissioned is actually throwing much money at this at all, and I doubt Capcom would even pump the profits back into it. That's my theory at least.

Wily would never bother giving Zero "love enjoying" body parts for that to ever happen. He might enjoy being friends with X and Iris but there's no way he would "enjoy" Layer's body.

@@Aibadenshi Lol good luck finding a reploid "love part" that can attach to Zero's "saber area". Also considering how unique Zero's body is Wily is the only person in the Megamam world with the abbility to modify Zero's design.

I really wouldn't call Magma Dragoon a minor boss. Not only is he one of the 8 Mavericks in MMX4, but he is the ONLY Maverick to have a dialogue to the heroes after he is defeated. Plus, he is one of the person who is responsible for setting things in motion in MMX4's story.

I barely made it through the tutorial before I quit this game, but if they were to add Fire Man, I'd probably give it another shot just for him.

From Megaman 4 I would add Skullman, he's the only one that Cossack created to fight.

I thought he showed up because he was a confirmed ex maverick hunter in x4 so i thought that storm eagle and chill penguin could show up since they were confirmed hunters in day of sigma ova

that depends on each department if I recall right,interns mentioned that all that is needed for characters of one franchise to get into another is for their team and producers to ask for it they put zero from zero series in freaking fighting games so maybe one day

I would assume these are fan service aka Waifu bait because it tends to be on female reploids and seasonal variants as well, they also didn't do that in any official game so.....

@@StriderVM Oh I don't doubt it being fan-service at all LMAO. I just find it interesting that they still had those physics/'skin' to show off. The physics I'm convinced is fanservice especially with the animations of seasonal Alia and Layer's default, but the skin bit can actually even be noticed with Cinnamon from Command Mission; she's wearing black leggings of sorts but her thighs, which has the same color as her face, are partially exposed. So it still has me wondering regarding how Reploids are actually produced considering they even have DNA of sorts.

I think the skin showing was an attempt for the reploids to appear more human to the humans. Giving them a more human like image distinguishes themselves from mechanaloids so people are most likely more inclined to treat them as actual people instead of robots with brains

Honestly, I think a lot of Battle Network characters could work in the game pretty well.

well its odd, the reason their legs under the knee look the way they do is because of gyros aka its how they keep balanced in bipedal walking, just figuring they made a small more than likely weaker aka not good for noncivilian rolls model, thats also unarmored. IIRC X's data outline showed 3 gyros 2 in the legs, and one in the chest

@@yeatweichin9825 The armor appears in a music video made for the 25th anniversary, and it gives X sound-based powers. Search it up here as "Rockman Holic Music Video". And yes, appearance-wise looks a lot like X-kai.

Wish they did kept doing more sequels on the Battle Network timeline as there are still lots of classic Megaman storylines and characters they could have made Battle Network counterparts of. Imagine how cool it would have been if Geo fought "Sigma.exe". Lot of story potential still for Capcom not to make more Starforce games.
