This is fantastic!!! I can hear how much you care about the game by your playing!! Seems like you're having so much fun. I was listening and trying to pick out my favorite, then around Octopus I gave up cause I was liking all of them too much and wouldn't be able to choose lol. Great work, again!
Thanks so much!! I'm glad to hear my love for this game is reflected in my playing! Haha I know right, with so many bangers it's so difficult to pick a favorite. Glad you enjoyed and I appreciate it!
haha, I knew you were gonna do this medley because of how excited you were about it. Mega Man X is one of the most metal asf video games of all time as well as the music. You did a great job on these tracks. They looked pretty difficult to play.
Haha I had a feeling you knew already what game I was covering. I agree! Can't get enough of this soundtrack. Thanks dude! Yeah songs like Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo and Launch Octopus were really difficult to play for me for sure! Glad it came out sounding good in the end. I appreciate it man and glad you enjoyed it!
Friggen fantastic! My absolute favorite game of all time and you nailed every piece so well! Loved the Chill Penguin and Flame Mammoth pieces especially. I'd definitely encourage an addition of your takes on the Sigma fortress themes(though I know they aren't much!). Really good job!
Thanks so much man!! I didn't know this was your favorite game so I'm glad to hear it didn't dissapoint! I absolutely love the Sigma stages music only I didn't want to include them here since it's already so long. Maybe someday, who knows! I appreciate it man :)
Aha, I see the song order is the same as the order you kill the Mavericks by its weakness 🧐 Nice touch! Great medley man, my favourite is Flame Mamooth! 🤘🏻 Love the game, the OST and all, it means a lot to me ❤️
Haha yes that's exactly what I did, good eye! Flame Mammoth has such an old school rock kind of feel it's awesome. Thanks so much man! I appreciate it :) This game means a lot to me too!
Nice! U should have seen this one coming since you've told me about the FamilyJules medley inspiring you to do VGM covers before, but the name of the game was just escaping me lol. But it's really cool that you're doing this one! Even though I sometimes feel like metal covers of Mega Man songs are just really obvious to do in a way, I still really enjoyed this and you still made it in your own style, drums and all haha. I love how you did the air drums at 3:30 too lol
Thanks so much dude!! Yeah I know I've talked about this a couple of times now so I'm just so happy to have finally done it. Feels like this is my magnum opus you know lol. Haha yeah the drums are insane in that part lol. I really appreciate it bro!
Yesssssssssssss! I was so pumped to see this come up in my notifcations. I love so many of these songs. Hard to choose a favorite between Spark Mandrill and Armored Armadillo. Which song did you have the most fun with? Also any chance of a Mega Man 3 Medley in the future?
That's great to hear and I'm glad!! Yeah with so many great songs, it's hard for me to pick a favorite as well haha. I'd say my favorite song to record was the intro stage. Something about all the different parts and how fun it was to record those stands out to me. Mega Man 3 would be awesome to make a medley out of since it's my favorite of the classic series so who knows! Maybe someday :)
Lloyd the Hammer (Hands?) - those things are huge! :D Nice guitar and bass work. I thought some of the dynamics on the drums were a bit static for fills (same level for consecutive hits) and the tom samples sounded a bit flat, but overall a great job :)
Haha you mean you think my hands are big? I'm a bit confused. Thanks for watching and the feedback though! I made the drums almost identical to the original and just added some crash cymbals here and there haha. I appreciate it :)
@@VGBass Hahaha that's definitely a new one. I've heard someone else call the guitars to look small before so maybe that's it. They don't look small to me though lol.
Hey Lloyd, Great medley! I can relate to your MMX-Attachment: I played it on SNES when i was like 10 years old, and was attached to the Soundtrack ever since. When i heard it again years later after i was introduced to rock & metal (read: e-guitar arrangements), i realised that this exact soundtrack was the first exposure, long before i knew what it was called. Loved it ever since. Anyway, you deserve way more subscribers, keep it up and keep your great content coming!
Thanks so much!! That's really awesome to hear and I'm really glad this game means so much to you as well as it does for me! I can totally relate to your story which is awesome. Thanks for the kind words!!
Epic medley dude! I can tell by reading the description that this games meant a lot to you, and I agree the soundtrack is one of the greatest out there! For some reason I've always liked the Stage Select theme as much as the main songs and you had a great groove in that one, and Sting Chameleon was really nice (it's so underrated as you wrote too haha). Anyway, impressive playing and great job overall buddy :)
Thanks so much bro!! Yeah this game means a lot to me for sure! Haha I've always really liked the stage select music as well for it's simplicity and rocking groove. Sting Chameleon is probably the most underrated track from the game I'd say. I appreciate it dude and glad you enjoyed!
WOW! INCREDIBLE WORK!!! I have seen a lot of Mega Man before and have heard all these EPIC songs! This really captures the EPICNESS of each and every theme! Reminds me of a song I made on my keyboard a year ago that sounds like a rock guitar similar to this video. VERY COOL!!! REALLY ENJOYED!!!👍❤️⭐️👂🎵🎶👏
@@LloydTheHammer No problem. Just love these remixes of retro Nintendo games. They’re VERY fun to play and listen to! Thanks for these AMAZING remixes!
Rad, dude! I've always been more partial to Boomer Kuwanger myself. Megaman soundtracks were always full of great tracks, but X just went that extra mile.
Thanks dude I appreciate it! Yeah I love Boomer Kuwanger's theme also! That chorus at the end is so good. Mega Man music always delivers in great songs (at least the ones I played) and Mega Man X will always be special to me in that regard!
Oh absolutely! That's the video that made me see video game music in a completely different way and it's the main reason on why I wanted to play VGM on guitar as well! Familyjules continues to be an inspiration to me :) Thanks for watching!
