It's not about the 'BZZ'-sounding guitars themselves, it's just that it was used for almost the whole thing, and that X3's soundtrack was mediocre at best
Yeah I agree. It's gives a heavier feel. It's not for everyone but given the plot of x3 is sigma using his virus form to force everyone to his side, it's a fitting music style.
I’m not sophisticated enough to understand the difference BUT your stuff is really cool. I’ve listened to your reworked MMII GB soundtrack about fifty times.
Wow… Really interesting you did the opposite here, bringing X3 instrumentals to X1. Now I *really* don’t understand why Capcom didn’t stick with X1’s soundfont throughout. Yikes…
what kind of cursed abomination have thee brought into thy tubes two watches in and i'm getting some serious mandela effect... was the bass meant to sound like this or that?
Yeah, I'm not big on this one. It seems like the main guitar sounds fine, but the rest drag it down, and overall, it's a much muddier, clunkier, grungier sound than the original. And somehow, even though I'm pretty sure they're both at the same tempo, this one feels slower and more plodding.
