I played this when I was 6 and I couldn't Beat it as Zero. Then the time passed and I gave it another try when I was 12, I could manage to beat it as Zero. The game was really hard.
One of the absolute most entertaining runs in GDQ history. Amazing performance from the runner and both informative and hilarious commentary from the couch. S rank.
I replayed this game a couple months ago. I was very proud of myself for getting to Sigma after playing for about 8 hours straight in one day. Then I managed to beat Sigma after another couple of hours the next day. I felt really accomplished for beating a hard game pretty quickly. Then people are doing the whole thing in 41 minutes and it makes me a little sad lol.
Dawg, I was around for the original Mega Man 1 on the NES. Never beat it though cos it was much harder than MM2. I'm 36 now, so you're still a young'un.
Props to these runners who don't speak English as their first language at primarily english speaking events, that would be terrifying I would think. This is by far one of my favorite runs I've seen in a long time and it's 3 years old lol I gotta get more learned. I had a coworker from Taiwan and he taught me a lot about that country. Homeboy had a whole script lol that's cool
Easily my favorite couch since I saw Patty start a snowball of potato jokes during a Link to the Past run a few years ago. I hope we see these guys again.
I clicked on this just to see if runners would do dash canceling with zero. It’s something I figured out on my own, but of course speed runners do it! I did it before internet though!
I remember when i first got my ps1 and i got like 5 games Megaman X4 crash bandicoot 1 buster buddies collection and 2 others i forget but i remember I had so much fun with MMX4 i tried so much i couldn't get past the first boss which i chose was spider (i was playing as megaman) and finally i did it and got pats like 3 other bosses! man i miss my child hood!
X4 was the last great ORIGINAL MM. I've beaten all the X series, MM1, MM2, MM8 and Command Mission, X5 wasnt a challenge til Shadow Devil or Zero, X6 was tedious yet boring. X7 was not it, the graphics were horrible as well as the Boss concepts ugly camera and aiming mechanics. X8 is the next best one, Hard Mode of course. MMZ series is where I'll bet my money at, a little more dark but I like it.
9:30 No reaction on the long jump joke? Sure you have to know about the BLJ from SM64 but c'mon it was at least worth a chuckle . Different style of commentary than I'm used to but very interesting with the translated sword techniques and more informative style. Edit: Typos
I really like that when the Iris Battle was about to start, everyone just go full silent until the Couch break the ice of that sad/tense moment. Is like everyone of those guys was having bad flashbacks from the first time they kill her.
Only thing missing from this run was inputting the code for black zero. Otherwise this was a fantastic run! I love this game so much and it holds a special place in my heart. I still remember the code to get X the ultimate armor 🤗
No it’s not. Since PC version has a significant shorter loading time compared with PS version, there is about +1: 40 correction if any PC player wants to challenge the world record.
the references to the Taiwanese MMX manga are cool. I know the plastic models were released there too so Capcom seems to have had a lot of care taken in it's localization there for MMX.
