The correct weapon is Shinning Ray, and you would have beaten him way quicker. Another incorrect boss Earthrock Trilobyte isn't the third he is the second. So good luck trying to beat him without the correct weapon. The correct weapon with X would be Squeeze Bomb, with Zero is completely different. But you would beaten him way quicker. Pkus when you hit him just once you already remove his armored shell. And also the sword can destroy his crystal balls so there is no need to jump or avoid it. So if you play another mega man game i really recommend for you to do some research before playing.
