From the final robot master meant to destroy all of Light’s creations, to the reploid that would save both the world and Megaman X, to finally finding what he was truly fighting for Even if Wily will never admit it, he created the hero robot he gave up on long ago
yeah The same goes for Sage in Frontiers, I like how the villain's child saves the world not for the sake of justice, but just because of their feelings of wanting to help.
I remember Game Theory making a "Wily wins" theory years ago. Though for a different reason, their title for that is now true now that we know more about Wily's past.
My headcannon for Model W is that it's Wile's consciousness connected to the debris of ragnarok given he connected himself to it & the model W biometal is much larger than the others
Funfact: In the official Japanese audio drama for Z4, Zero's final conversation was actually not really about Weil. It's Ciel's rather heartbreaking and desperate pleas over the radio to get him off Ragnarok as long as he still can. Frozenith actually mixed that one into his version of Falling Down. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZS8z1i2ER_0.html
Story context: A cyborg mad-scientist has connected himself to the core of a space station that is plummeting to earth. The only way to save the planet is to blow up the core above a certain altitude, which will kill Zero in the process if he succeeds.
Mega Man Zero is my favorite series. Little do you know that your cover of the opening stage actually got me into this series. I've beaten the original four games dozens of times over by now. All because of you
Funny it was his cover of “it has to be this way” from metal gear rising that made love the franchise now I’ve got the masters collection v1 and already beat the games various times
This is a great parallel to their cover of Zero's theme, where he started off emotionless, and by the end of the song and the series, he knows what he's fighting for.
Ayy, a follow-up to the Cannonball cover! Nice!! Would love to hear MOTI do songs from Inti's later games, like Gunvolt or Blaster Master Zero at some point
I LOVED the Garuda Rising fight (even if I got my Metal Attacker’s ass kicked multiple times, it was that good from both story and gameplay perspectives) Though the final Metafighter vs Blaster Master fight also had kickass music.
I swear, Tom's performance as Dr. Weil was so good it legit made me believe it was Alex at first based on voice. It really shows the vocal range that he exhibits is quite impressive.
The fight against Weil onboard Ragnarok is one of my most precious gaming memories from my youth, so I'm glad to see you guys tackle the exceptional weight of this moment in the series. The time-limit were a real challenge on Hard Mode. Weil is even just barely out of reach of the Z-knuckle's charge strike. Still, it certainly communicates the severity of the circumstances and makes you feel the pressure, so it's an appropriate final challenge for this branch of the franchise.
I love this fight & the irony of Wily's greatest creation saving the world. I can't help but think that Wily would be proud that his robot survived the longest and did what X couldn't
Fantastic as always. Every new Megaman franchise lyrical cover just fills me with immense happiness. Truly makes me wonder what "Save our planet" or one of the other amazing themes from Battlenetwork could be like. ^^
Hell yeah! Just recently replayed the Zero series, and this is awesome! Probably Darby's most impressive performance on the channel, those belts and especially that last falsetto note give me chills!
It's hard to describe how amazing this final battle is And, in a way, it's funny. Willy's Greatest creation, ment to be his final impact on the world was successful. Just not the way he thought.
"Do you have it in you to defeat me?" "...Didn't you brand me a maverick, just like Copy X before you?" "So?" "Well, if I'm a maverick, then you clearly think I am more than capable of harming a human. And you barely even qualify as a human anyway."
I'm speechless. The references, the voice of Darby, the lyrics, EVERYTHING, my God, a true masterpiece. Thanks for bringing out this song for us, we love you MOTI
No way.... MegaMan zero mentioned after years I'm still playing MegaMan zero 1-4 Speedrun almost once a year And each year I got faster This game is peak
I think it resembles that Zero became a Maverick by killing a "human" (in his awakened form Zero has purple eyes). Or it's just an artist's mistake, i dunno.
I think that, in a way, Wily was there to witness the reflection of the man he had become before his war with Light. Purple always was Wily's color of choice so it makes sense that he'd want to see this war end though the eyes of his magnum opus.
Could U do the following? (Or at least think about it?): Shadow Master (Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master) Vs Master Mittens (Super Lucky's Tale) Kaiser Greedy (Starfy) Saurhead Theme (Fossil Fighters) Vs Dynal (Fossil Fighters) Madame Grape (Princess Peach Showtime) Ogura and Evil (Starfy Series) Crazy Beauty (Vs Deborah) (Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythmic Adventure 2) (Sorry about long list)
YES! I've been wanting you to cover this song for years, ever since Zero's theme was covered. And I even requested this in the song ballot, so I'm so happy to see it made. This cover is better than I could have imagined, Darby absolutely killed as Zero and Tom played Weil perfectly. I'm going to have this on loop for a good while.
Thank you for this! I have been playing Mega Man Zero for a while and it’s now one of my favorite game series to play, especially 3 and 4. I have made a request for this song, and y’all delivered! Once again, thank you for bringing this to life!!!😁😁😁
Literally this week i relistened to Cannonball and was fantasising about how falling down would sound like. Thanks for quickly proving me correct in thinking it would be amazing
