The objective of an official tour is to show respect for the country and their culture. You are there to strengthen the relationship between tne two nations. Technically, the Duke and other titles were gifted by the monarch, therefore I believe can be rescinded by the monarch. The titles of prince and princess are also a gift from the monarch, even though he was born and titled prince, if he publicly sides against, previously in ww1, princes etc titles were removed by the monarch as the people were fighting for Germany against the UK. So if he really screwed up, that can be removed too.

It would be possible for the King to put the Prince title into abeyance, or even remove it, but that may cause constitutional issues, so would be a very last resort. We will have to wait and see on that one, the Royals like to play a long game.
KC can easily remove "prince" from H and the invisibles with letters patent signed by the monarch. Quick and easy. Parliament not required. There is precedence for this on this country and other European Monarchies. KC needs to get on with it.
