I really loved seeing Loopin' Louie, 13 Dead End Drive, and the impromptu studio Gator Golf obstacle golf course! If I can recommend a few more 90s staple gimmick games for next year, Tornado Rex and Polar Dare are two fun games that don't take too long to play. Rex has you climb up cliffs, trying to avoid hazards like a crazed Taz-like top that spins down, and Polar Dare is about getting your penguin family across movable ice pieces while trying to avoid a giant polar bear. Anyway, fun show, guys!
I'm always a fan of the Shawn/Derrick vs Garrett/Rocco combination like in Decrypto or the Drugs Debate during the 4/20 stream last year. It always leads to some really odd and hilarious moments and lines.
Just want to appreciate at 6:10:00 that their camera angle aligns perfectly to give convincing perspective to the staircase in the top left of the game board - it really makes it appear like the doorway has depth!
I really enjoyed this year, including some cool games I was totally unfamiliar with, but I didn't have a ton of interest in the final game. Overall great, though I think there should be mandatory Jenga.
Derrick really needs to learn the rules of these before they play. He was wrong about something in pretty much every game they played (Cranium, Wavelength, Decrypto, Barrel of Monkeys, etc.) He even counted the swings wrong for every contestant during gator golf, as well as adding the scores incorrectly at the end.
IKR they should put fewer game variety with party games that's easy to play but still have funny interaction (ie: Codenames, Resistance, Cockroach Poker, etc)
I love how Rocco had a chance to actually do something useful with his headset during the Omega round but he just doesn't and does a really strange bit where he pretends to "scan the rules".
Derrick made Wavelength way more confusing than it actually is, you just put the marker on whatever side you think the "4" is. Somehow in his interpretation of the rules he made it "put the marker on the side where you think the red line went too far" which is the exact opposite
I'm watching this for the first time after the podcast where Shawn kept talking about how incredibly stressful this was, and it is cracking me up how often he keeps saying that he's there to have fun and not take it too seriously and not stress. Peak dramatic irony.
My fire alarm IRL went off right as the torch was on screen, so I spent way too much time annoyed by the video instead of realizing what was happening…
He did, but to get rid of the controversy he allowed a rematch for the title and Derrick won the rematch. Garrett got the money but Derrick got the title.
@@fluffythecat8526 I think the original controversy was that Derrick was lifting hand and feet placement whenever he needed to change position where the rules are that they are stationary once placed. I think there was a second controversy where during the title rematch, he also stood and paused briefly for breaks before getting into position.
