Always why I end up getting back on this channel , Kello makes what seems like bland tunes into bass monsters. Don't know his recipe , but that tone is unmatched on youtube
@@kellogc right on bud and just put up a bunch more Maiden covers and throwing up some more now man!!Peace out bud and maybe one day we can jam together.
Rock'n Roll!🎸 I cannot wait to hear music. No one can stop me and nothing! I won't say same thing for what I've heard rock musics... You know what you can do it. And do not forget about that again. I'll get joined the party and have fun. Not bad that's problem. Ehm... I'll ask something. What's your favorite bass guitar strings? 4 different, or 5 different? Or maybe doesn't matter. Anyway, see you soon. But I won't forget nothing. I'll research all.
My favorite bass guitar strings? If you mean number of strings it’d be 4 string basses my personal preference. OK regards to string brand I use DR Hi Beams 👊🏻
i'm kinda struggling with the middle part with the 16 notes :( by the way, most people advise to rest your thumb on the neck pickup while i see you just rest it on the deck. Is there a secret behind that thumb placement? :) As always an amazing cover, thank you for uploading!
If you see I do actually anchor on the pickup for the other sections. On that particular part I felt I was able to get a more visceral attack (per se) by instead anchoring my wrist on the body. Since in that riff I’m only playing the 4th string, it works 👊🏻
Hey Kello. This is the first time of just watching your fingers, especially the way you hit those strings. I notice that besides plucking, you also slap down with your nails. Is this true? If so, what kind of damage does different strings do to your nails (Flatwounds or roundwounds)?
Riff heavy music needs to have the bass turned up like you do in these videos. The trend has been adding more strings and tuning down lower, but all that really needs to happen is adjusting the mix.
The difference between my two Fender Jazz basses? The first one with maple fretboard is from 1977, it has EMG J active pickups and a Badass II bridge (used in my Rush “YYZ” video). The second one with rosewood fretboard is from 1978, it has its original passive pickups and a Hipshot Kickass bridge (used on my Slayer “Spill The Blood” video). On this cover I used a Sadowsky Vintage NYC bass. 👊🏻
