Jajaja no entiendo xq tantos comentarios negativos.
That entire members of the media are all a bunch of fools! Illiteracy at its finest! And disrespectful to great legends that is Megadeth! Thank God that the fans made it all worth it!
You can tell Dirk is itching to lay down new music again.. Teemu to.. James also its been a while for him since he did.. This is a new Megadeth really since TSTDATD.. Dave and Dirk are what remain of it.. So I would expect a little bit of a change in the type of album they would make. Dirk loves the the really early works.. With Gar in particular and wants to makes stuff around that type of sound.. James I think is a fan of the same era with the really shifty and funky stuff on Peace Sells.. Chunking and audible in the mix. His best work is Washington is Next where thats very present in the mix of that song.. More of that type of bass.. Teemu is a wild card.. He has in interviews so far suggested that he is a Marty fan (of course) and has named stuff from as late as Cryptic.. But he clearly has an affinity for Polands playing.. To play Polands solos as good as Poland.. That takes real talent.. Many people an imitate Marty.. Poland.. No.. That is a very special talent. So with an understanding of a solos structure and attitude from Poland, Young and Friedmans time as well as Kikos and a slice of Petrelli to.. He should have a very good grasp of they past by the time hes in the studio.. And what he needs to do to surpass.. Not emulate.. Surpass them. Thats the magic ingredient a new Megadeth member needs to become an important part in history.. James understand that mission statement back in the 00s and he understood it coming back.. This time the door isnt left open for another.. So its his to fully own and ride into the sunset with Dave.. Becoming the name that shares the space with Ellefson overall.. Not just be a small part in the bigger picture but to be a big part of that picture.. He put in 4 years before hes up to 3 now since coming back.. So thats 7 years of the 41 years of Megadeth.. Each year that passes the bigger a part he is to the Megadeth story.. He gets it.. Very happy be back and im happy as a fan hes back.. Its a shame he didnt get to put the tracks down of the last album but timing wasnt quite right then.. Dave looks raring to go.. Excited to be out playing again for everyone again.. His comments on new music is promising of course.. They are discussing ideas and bouncing things around in the down time.. Planning things out. Dave has said in a previous interview that he can see himself doing another 10 years.. And who knows he might even feel like doing another 10 years after that.. When your career keeps getting better its hard to just say ok thats enough.. Megadeth is increasing in popularity its selling out shows around the world and its now charting in the top 3 around the world with new music.. This is the moment you work for.. So Dave I think senses the moment is here.. The attention is finally coming along with the success.. So he has said should he do another 20 years or there about and he was efficent with the time between albums and that a cycle between albums is 3 years.. Then he could have as many as 6 albums out in that time... Now anything can happen.. 20 years is a decent amount of time.. But as long as they take good care of themselves stay happy and have good creative chemistry then nothing is stopping them.. Not covered in the press event or questions.. The show itself.. They are really clicked in.. Clearly enjoying themselves, Teemu impressed just as he needed to.. Dave sounded great... Whoever he has been working with as a vocal coach.. They have done wonders for him.. He sounds like he has his voice back 95%.. Even in this interview he sounded very good.. He has sounded a bit groggy and deeper post cemo.. Here he sound great very alert as well as just more like his old self.. You could close your eyes when he talks here and he sounds like he did 20 years ago.. I understand how hard hes worked to get to that point.. Hes had his struggles but struggling and overcoming is kind of Dave Mustaines thing.. Lose the use of your arm.. Nah.. I'm playing again.. Proceeds to overcome a life changing injury.. Damages his neck, needs neck surgery but a massive show in NY as the Big 4 is booked already.. Nah im playing that show then going for neck surgery.... Get cancer.. Nah.. Beats cancer.. Blew out your voice and then had it further damaged by the neck surgery.. Nah going to work to get it back.. Age is catching up and feeling a bit stiff... Nah does constant exercises designed to keep all of the body active and moving. 10 years ago Dave didnt have a grasp on many of these things.. Today he does.. Thats a testament to him but also his family and wider team around him.. As well as the band he has put together to be Megadeth.. Dirk is the perfect guy for Dave.. Attentive right hand man.. Hes earned that. Hes worked hard and he understands what Dave wants and dreams for Megadeth and shares in that.. Dirk is the model Megadeth member he will and can be there for a long time.. I expect him to ride it all the way with Dave.. He will overtake Menza and Drover as longest serving drummer in just 2 years.. I think hes hoping to have a 2nd album with the band by that time.. But to put in 6 years before getting an album released.. That shows his loyality to Dave, the band itself and the fans. He has put his name there today alongside Gar and Nick.. With just 1 album of music out there.. Much respect and love to Dirk.. James did great stuff when he was briefly there in the mid to late 10s.. Hes clearly very pleased to be back.. I to think James will ride this out to the end with Dave.. He does that and he will be very much the co sharer of the role Ellefson filled for so long.. That door is now closed for Ellefson.. Its James to take ownership of now fully.. No shadow of someone else that could take the role again. Teemu.. After the show.. Im convinced he knows exactly what he needs to do when a new album is there.. Dirk will help him understand this moment if he doesn't.. You have the moment here to create something people speak off in the same sentence as Rust in Peace.. You have the chance to put your name along side the greats in Megadeths past.. Often times people underestimate the moment.. Broderick did.. He knew he needed to make a splash.. But he didnt grasp the bigger picture.. Which is why despite his skill he isnt well remembered in the bigger Megadeth picture.. Same for Shawn Drover on drums.. Dirk know what Megadeth needed.. What it needs and what he can do to.. He blew Drover away instantly.. Kiko did the same to Broderick.. What a different someone that understands the big picture creatively can make.. Dirk has made a major impact to Megadeth sound.. Kiko did.. Teemu needs to as well... But i believe Teemu has the potential to reach higher than Kiko.. To push Megadeth to a new level again.. So this is symbiotic you, your star is increased in Megadeth.. With that Megadeth can rise with it.. Megadeth makes stars because the stars put the work in to become one.. Playing well is one thing.. Writing timeless instant massive hits is another thing.. Daves obviously been doing it a while hes the foundation and the head sculpturor to the projects.. But the work is only as good as the people hes working with.. Teemu is stepping into big shoes.. Kikos job was easier in many ways as he had to follow someone who wasnt very creatively inspired.. Teemu is following someone very creative in the band so he needs to not just match it but seek to exceed it.. Doing to is best for him and the band.. Think Marty Friedman coming into Megadeth or Poland.. These arent names were would know today in the way we do today if at all if it wasnt for them grasping the moment.. Taking it to a new level than before. Thats Teemus job now.. No pressure lol.. But considering he has been the only one to nail Polands solo on Devils Island.. Im convinced hes up to this task like no guitarist since Marty. Kiko got it.. Which is why he was so successful with Megadeth and why fans liked him.. Aim for greatness Teemu.. Something to Rust in Peace isnt off the table in terms of importance..
I totally get why they do these press conferences.. You can just tell that they wish there were more well put together.. Daves bored.. The rest of the guys hide it well.. But this is likely a very slow thing the doubling up of languages actually limits the questions.. Maybe a translator should do the translation as the questions are asked.. So they actually hear the translator like politicians in the UN do to different languages.. The same is done for an in ear translation for the interviewer with the answer back.. It would allow for more questions and a little bit more of a natural flow.. They likely won't be bored and feel like their time is wasted and those asking questions will simply have more time to ask some more. There were some good questions here so just some suggestions for future press events.. Its my understanding its not Megadeth that put on these.. Its very much the press.. So if someone does see these comments from those teams... Please bare these in mind.. Some headsets with 2 channels for the Portuguese and English should be easy enough.. Should help with feedback issues as well. 👌
