Finishing this album shows why it is absolutely one of the top 5 metal albums EVER and many would argue 1 or 2

I told you it was the most underrated track! This song is such a bop.

1st solo at 7:04 ( mesmerizing, melodic, sounds like the guitar is singing ) was by Marty Friedman, and the 2nd solo at 7:43 ( aggressive, chaotic, off-the-rails ) was by Dave Mustaine. Perfect song to highlight the polarity in styles between those two, what made Megadeth the GOAT of guitar-based metal.

When you eventually circle back to Megadeth, check out Addicted to Chaos off Youthanasia or Angry Again. You'll dig the groove!

this entire album is a MOTHERFUCKING MASTERPIECE

In my opinion, Lucretia has the best solo Marty did on this album. The way he comes in at the beginning and embellishes the power chords with chord tones is unreal. Only Marty would play something like that. The way Dave's solo comes in is also quite sick. This is my favourite song on this album.

Lucretia is the ghost that lived in his attic. It would sit in his grandmother's rocking chair and rock back and forth in the moonlight.

That album is so great from start to finish, all killer no filler. It's amazing to me how some bands, for whatever reasons, get hit with tons of inspiration all at once and make a flawless album. Rust in Peace was that moment for Megadeth.

Lucretia is Megadeth’s best song and I’ve never understood why people didn’t agree. Insane groove, insane chord progressions, great melodies, great rhythms and Marty’s best solo.

The second half of the solo was actually Dave. Which is crazy but also not surprising because Dave has some serious solo chops. I think you guys are also gonna enjoy Rust in Peace...Polaris a lot. There's a good amount of groove in that song as well.

Love Megadeath, first metal concert I ever went to, back in the early 90s. Y-all had me rolling on this one!

Rust in Peace is Megadeth at their peak, an absolute classic! Have you guys listened to Countdown to Extinction yet? Probably their most known album and has their biggest hits on it, the one I grew up with! And I get what you guys are saying, you can appreciate music even if you don't like it! Your reaction to this one has me on the floor in tears, never thought about this music in that way and it's epic! Haven't heard this song since the 90's and I remember it being funky and making me groove! Lucrecia!! 🔥🔥

IMO, people don’t always tend to recommend the “best” songs, just the most popular. This is a classic example.

Been following you guy's since the Holy Wars reaction dropped. Glad to see youre finally finishing off the album. The funny thing is groove wise with Megadeth you've just started to scratch the surface.

Absolutely love this channel. Love watching you guys react to this stuff. And it's cool being able to listen to classic songs to me through new ear's. It makes me notice parts of songs that I've either forgotten about, or had just never noticed.

PLEASE check out some Children of Bodom! They have plenty of grooves and master class musicianship! You guys may not tolerate the vocals at first (i was a little turned off initially, but they grew on me) but the music speaks for itself.

This song was always underrated in my opinion and to see you guys get so hyped for it made my heart so happy you have no idea. Megadeth was the first band I ever purchased a cd of and I've never been disappointed

Watching rehearsal vids of Megadeth in this era is incredible to see the chemistry between Dave David nick Marty pretty much untouchable. I think the solos on this song first solo Marty last solo Dave are so different in ways but go so well together. Megadeth has so many albums you will find groove for sure.

Easily the most underrated Megadeth song. It never got much attention. 2 of the best solos ever recorded that perfectly fit the song.

That year gave us 2 master pieces: Rust in Peace & Painkiller. Even Judas & Megadeth were together in tour. I was there... what a year !!

I discovered Megadeth when this album came out, still listening to it to this day, it's a freaking timeless masterpiece. Edit: on a side-note, you should definitely react to Dawn Patrol and Polaris back to back, because those two are linked. Dawn Patrol is a sort of intro to Polaris and is relatively short.

Good morning/ Black Friday by megadeth is by far the greatest metal song ever made. Harmony, solo, riffing everything. Y’all need to do peace sells but who’s buying album it’s from the early days of megadeth when the still had garr and Chris pollard. That album made me love metal because those 2 paired with Dave really caught my ear and I’m rooted in rap since I was a kid! Very worth a listen
