Megadeth's soundcheck in Birmingham, England where the band plays a bit of Lucretia (October 13th, 1990). More footage from the same soundcheck: • Megadeth - Five magics...
I agree. Dave, Junior, Marty, and Nick was indeed the golden age for Megadeth. Shit, those four made Rust In Peace, their best album IMO. But you have to admit, this lineup in 2020 is pretty damn good. Kiko and Dirk fit right in. MEGADETH FOREVER!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I think the killing and peace sells era is amazing as well. But I did the exact thing with the guitars! Got the Jackson V. Marty and Dave just look so signature on stage with those Jacksons
I think the question is what's wrong with everyone else's hand? Clearly Marty is playing the right way and all the rest of us are playing wrong. Marty is legendary.
JohnnyV Val what? Hahaahaha just go fuck your self everyone is seeing the monster ellefson was and comenting, i mention it in a funny way but theres always that virgin guy like you
RIP Nick Menza. A giant personality behind the kit... The black 'MEGADETH' guitar that became the silver guitar on Countdown. I remember when that was auctioned off... If only I had 30 grand.
Nick recorded my band back in 2010 at his house in his home studio I think in Burbank.., his son was literally crawling on the mixing desk lol it was a real chill guy. I spent about an hour in his drum room which didn't even have any kids set up they were all in different massive drawers. I think I counted just under 50 full drum kits. I was one of half a million people that told him that rest in peace made me want to start playing. It was definitely not the first time he had heard it. I was playing bass on that recording for that band. We never released it. We did that a lot
Marshall stacks with a Marshall preamp rack unit and old Jackson guitars (pre fender) is the tone. I can't tell if Dave is using a Duncan jb or stock Jackson pickup in the bridge but he does have a bill lawrence l500xl in the neck
I caught them on tour in the late 80s. For one song Dave played a chrome Flying V. It was dark in a fairly small venue and they put a spotlight on Dave and the light reflected off the chome guitar like a spotlight itself, the reflected beam of light shining every which way as the guitar moved as he played the song. Great experience for my teenage self.
I was there Birmingham N.E.C arena UK it was Clash of the Titans Tour, absolutely Outstanding show Megadeth / Slayer / Anthrax / Testament / Suicidal Tendencies damn the decades just fly I was only 21 I'm now 49 year's old Metalhead to the grave Bang your head til it bleeds Rattlehead! 🤔 🤙👍🤘☺
Darn! I thought Jr was gonna start playing "Dawn Patrol" 3:11. I wish they played it more often live. It would sound perfect as an intro to tornado of souls or polaris.
I was at this gig as a mullet haired 10 year old Brummie with my brother and my old man and it really was an awesome night with chairs and all sorts being thrown into the mosh pit.
I was there as a 13 year old. My mum took me and we were at the back of the mosh pit. Don't remember any chairs being thrown. This was the NEC right? How many nights did they play there? Alice in Chains were support.
Just realised it was the Apollo gig I went to, with Alice In Chains supporting - thought it was the same leg of that tour, sorry. So we were both there lol. Cheers
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW LOVE YOU GUYS TILL THE END OF TIME!!!!! Just magnificent musicians that are so down to earth.........or.........if they weren't then they sure are now.......SUPERB!
AWESOME video!!!! Dude the audio from that camera is WAAAAY better than most of todays consumer cams. The stereo separation is unbelievable. Thanx for this post. shotgunn
I love Dave’s rhythm tone very tight and crunchy. Stock Marshall with a bogner preamp rack unit and Jackson king v with a stock Jackson pickup I believe
It is amazing what people on the internet can provide for one another. Which makes me wonder what happened to all the old posts Megadeth did back in 1997 on their official website.
Is increíble fun what exist in thqt moments fr all those guys my nick neza RIP marty, david and dave never will be the same without this music . i love it the best edges 1980 to 1990
