This one's got my head bobbing. Despite the Poland, Samuelson/Friedman, Menza era...this was a pretty bad ass version of Megadeth. The Drover's plus jLo. 😁
I've yet to hear the drum part played the same as it was on the original record. Nick Menza might be the only metal drummer worth mentioning in a top ten of drum greats. He was just too good.
For me Megadeth is no Megadeth without Ellefson.. that dude is just perfect bass player for this band, and I mean his back vocals, his playing, his melodical taste is just better.
It's around 2 years later since Dave hurt his arm. They played songs slower just for him to be able to recuperate fully. It took him i think 17 months to start playing. So just a few months since he started playing, he's on stage playing speed metal :) Slowed down yes, but they're back on speed now :)
Its because Shawn Drover simplified and slowing down everything on live performance. However, they played in faster tempo in Download 2007 and Big 4 concerts though.

This was when James just joined the band, that's why he's a bit lost and holding back a bit on stage lol, big difference in his performance not long after.
That. Was. Epic. Let's face it guys, the best Megadeth guitarists that have truly complimented Mustaine's frantic riffing are Poland, Friedman, Drover and now Kiko Loureiro (I haven't heard the new album but his work in Angra and his wonderful melodic control will surely compliment Megadeth's new sound)
Washington is next really showcases Lomenzos skill. His style is different from Ellefson so not really a fair comparison. I love both but Lorenzo had a better stage presence
@UandMeRacoons glen is 100% pure metal head, that's one thing i loved him most with megadeth, broderick is pretty much professional with his playing, glen just rips like there's no tomorrow.
David and Chris are so much better at the backup vocals than James and Glen were (not to mention that David plays the bass fill way better, probably because he wrote it ;) haha)
This is fucking incredible. They are like wizened wizards that have grown from the great sonic warriors they were in the 80s. Older, wiser, but their reflexes are just as sharp and they are just as proficient with their weapons. Also, is this in south america? I have the utmost fucking respect for south/central american metalheads, seriously you are the world's best. \m/
@thehornypuppy im agreed with you but the fact is that almost everybody that have been on megadeth mades cover because mustaine its the real composer and their best songs are composed by him
