Man, I bet that was a lot of fun for Dave. He didn't have to worry about singing and playing at the same time, and was able to just jam.

Damn getting to share the stage with your own musical heroes , what a privilege that would be.

Dave has this image where people think hes hard to deal with. But , he seems to be inviting everybody as a guest in his live shows.

His vocals in Shogun would fit perfectly to this great song.

I fell asleep to the rust in peace album once (because i was tired, not because its boring) and i started dreaming that i was playing drums with megadeth live. Matt heafy actually gets to wake up and do that. Good for him!

I still prefer Dave’s voice regardless. Love his rasp that has developed into more of a growl in recent years. One of my favourite vocalist, especially on Youthanasia and Endgame. Looking forward to Summer Breeze!

What I like the most about this performance is how a great frontman Matt is without holding a guitar in his hands. He kills it!

Tbh, I never pay attention to Dave voice in any Megadeth song. Guitar, bass, and drum are what I listen to. Then I watch this video and miss something which is Dave voice.

I'm a huge megadeth and trivium fan and this would have been cool to see live. As good as Heafy's voice is, it just doesn't fit. Maybe someone else with a higher register would work. I'll take Dave any day of the week, no matter the condition of his voice.

I have seen trivium live , one of the best shows ive done , dude can scream and sing light when needed , sure he did not fit the song , but stop being ignorants and go discover the band yourself instead of criticizing , he has done his job regardless , the crowd loved it and he had a blast. Not sure the backstory behind this particular night for Matt with Megadeth.....but what I do know that Trivium or at least Matt used to cover this very song. This was many years ago in their younger years. Trivium's version wasn't actually a bad cover, however the solo wasn't anything like the original. They were young guys just having fun. I guarantee Matt was honored to sing this.

I'm sure Matt loved that experience. It just reiterates for me that I wouldn't want a Megadeth without Dave's vocals, though. Although, I suppose, if I had to choose someone to replace him on the mic, it'd be the guy from Red Lamb who sounds a lot like him.
