Very good review. You don’t jus t trash it as incoherent. I saw it a second time and appreciated more because I heard more dialogue. This reminds me of Hitchcock and Welles dream sequences and the enigma of Space Odyssey 2001 and other Kubrick movies.

You're so lucky to get to go see a film with your grandparents 😄👍 Oh and yeah I'm dying to see it too but it's not playing anywhere closer than a 5 hour drive from where I live so I'll have to wait until I can buy it online I guess. Thanks for sharing y'all👋🙂

Before seeing the film, did you have a chance to read the works of G.B. Shaw, Voltaire, Rousseau, Bentham, Mill, Dickens, Emerson, Thoreau, Fuller, Fournier, Morris, Carlyle, Ruskin, Butler; with Euripides, Thomas More, Moliere, Pirandello, Shakespeare, Beaumarchais, Swift,, Goethe, Plato, Aeschylus, Spinoza, Durrell, Ibsen, Hesse, Cao Xueqin, Tolstoy, McCullough…? Because Coppola said these works directly influenced Megalopolis. The movie made sense to me because I'm familiar with all these works; it's the best movie of the last 5 years.
