Hi everyone, I'm one of the creators for BBN5 in both ProtoMan and Colonel. It's great to see so many NetBattlers interested in what we're trying to accomplish here. We're tackling the most problematic items such as underutilized Unisons and Chips as well as general mechanics. The intention is to have the game still look and identify strongly with what you know BN5 to be outside of the balancing issues present in the vanilla version without going overboard into "unrecognizable fangame" territory. The amount of feedback I've received with this first public build has been immense and I've watched many matches to see how changes are being utilized. Please stay tuned.
As much as Invis is a necessary defense chip, it is moreso necessary when against a dark soul user just because when the dark soul player gets to 1 HP, you have like 20-30 seconds against DarkMega and there's nothing you can do to stop his shenanigans
What exactly happened around 6:30? I didn't get to play PVP in these games so it's possible I'm missing something, but I've never seen that kind of transition from Chaos Unison to Double Soul before
This is a BN5 patch called BBN5, or Balanced Battle Network 5. It patches some of the really bad balancing issues, but not all of them. Namely, one of them being that after you use the charge shot from the Chaos Unison, you transition back into being the default cross.
@@theonejackal89 I'm one of the creators of this patch. This is correct. This build is an open beta currently because there's so many changes under the hood. I have close to 100 individual items we'll be addressing in terms of bugfixes, and mainly tweaks. Please look forward to further updates.
@@ghostlymire that's a really awesome adjustment! It's been forever since I've looked into patches members of the community have made but I'll take a look at the other changes you're working on and test it out!
@@ghostlymire Question As a fan of darkmega, I'm really disappointed in how BN5 nerfed it overall. Did it get any buffs or changes in the patch? Also, is it for the GBA ROM or the Legacy Collection?
