1:41 that was actually intentional. With classic megaman they went for traditional sci fi, but for exe they wanted to do a future that could be a decade or two away. They f*cking nailed it.

Knowing that Scott is a huge Battle Network and (Most Likely) Starforce Fan, brings a huge smile to my face. And honestly, I agree with BN3 being one of the best. Not only was a great story, but I have a personal love for it in my heart since it was the very first game that got me into the game series into the first place, alongside the anime growing up.

I cannot stress enough how unique and fun the gameplay system was, there truly is nothing else like it. It would be a dream come true if this collection managed to sell two million copies and get a modern sequel like how we got Megaman 11. The game already has a million sales after just two weeks, let's hope it happens!

These games were amongst the many reasons why the GBA was one of the greatest consoles of all times. I adored these games so much. There was so much content crammed into those little cartridges!

This combined everything I loved as a child. MegaMan, RPGs, computers and cards. Doesn't hurt that the music was unique and absolute jams. It was such a massive part of my childhood, my God.

Just so y'all know, you hop online through each game with that game's inventory and chip folder. So hopping immediately online is basically asking to meet a guy who gave himself Bass immediately and getting your screen nuked for all 200 of your starting HP. Play through the games at least a bit to get some decent chips to avoid any potential trauma and also cus they Rock (Or in this case Hub)

Just knowing this doesn't end in death and despair like the other Megaman timeline makes this my favorite version.

Such love for Battle Network and Star Force series. Both Mega Man series were a HUGE part of my childhood. I am over the moon for this Collection and anime being released for everyone.

What I wish, is that they had multi save files, a total of 3, one for a story file, an online match file, and a speed run file. That would add to this collection a BUNCH, so that we can actually do all 3 gameplay styles.

This was my first Megaman as a kid, I adored the battle network series, I had 3,4 and 6! Can't wait to be able to play the whole series now!

Man, I love this game and this was my childhood game. I may have not did megaman battle network right away because I did have a console right away this is the best early 2000s game on a console ever.

Reason why Megaman Battle Network 3 and 6 PvP is common is because it's considered to be the "balanced" out of the volume collection. Either way, I love this series as a kid! I'm glad I get to play with others now!

The big reason why the netplay on PC is a bit more scarce, is because the battle network community had created their own netplay client with rollback support, which is generally the best way to play with other people (having access to more save files, and therefor folders is nice, and it includes 4.5, which is a cool time)

Same dude. Battle Network was my childhood (and now that I work in IT, I get all the references). However, I'm a bigger fan of Star Force, the games that got me through my teens. I REALLY hope there's a Star Force collection.

I've just gotta state, personally I think 5 is my favorite overall and 6 being super close with how good it was! Scott that last bit with Evil Roll was downright hilarious, thats gonna be a blast rewatching/finally watching most of the episodes I couldn't watch cuz of school!!

I really can't state how much I loved these games/shows as a kid, so seeing them back with all the extras is amazing.

By far my all time favorite game series. Even inspired me to learn about the internet and networks as a kid, and even ended up going to college for Network Administration.

Ah Videogamerz... I never got to play much of the Megaman games growing up, but I did love watching my brother play during long car trips. Megaman is what brought my immediate family to finding those early animations of yours and I seriously couldn't be happier for it. Now I'm glad to actually have the chance to play the games myself! Thanks for all the content you give Scott, keep up the good work (with well-earned breaks, of course!)

Konami should take a hint and release a Remastered Boktai Collection already (1,2,3 and Lunar Knights, a.k.a. Boktai DS). Those games were ridiculously unique and fun. Also, props for Capcom for managing to keep the crossover content in all games. They even brought the cut BN6 crossover areas back.

Hell yeah! I've been really itching to get this for my collection, but I'm officially sold. About time I get my hands on the games I never had like 3 to 6. I only had 1 and 2 and Network Transmission. Though, StarForce eventually release is gonna be so hype! I remember that one dearly~

I made sure to hang on to my original GBA carts of BN2 and 3 in particular, so I'm admittedly more excited Capcom re-released the anime on RU-vid! I remember the show would only air at 2 pm where I lived, so I had to make ABSOLUTELY sure my Mom would let me come home on Friday (which of course was the only school day that let me go home before 3) so I could even have a CHANCE of watching the show after the long drive home. Of course, my Mom would often foil my plot by getting into LONG, lively conversations with the other parents that would force me to not only miss the show, but remain on school grounds until 5 pm!! If this goes on sale, though (preferably the Switch version), I would love to finally give 1 and 6 a try. Never got a chance to play the very first Battle Network and I unfortunately slept on 6 because 4 and 5 left such an awful taste in my mouth, that I assumed 6 would be divisive-at-best as well. I was clearly on the wrong side of history...

It's such a good collection! I completed 1 through Bass (with heavy use of bustermax outside of dungeons as grinding that one is rough) and I'm 4 chips from finishing 2, with no bustermax until the second postgame door.

This is such a trip in memory lane man, these titles are now back and are all amazing!

I love these games so much! So glad they re-released these. I was the only one among my friends to play these, so it was kinda nice hearing you say so many good things about them. Also, I don't remember there being so many MegaMan Legends references in these games! I miss Legends so much...

Actually, something like Battle Network might still find a place today. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom gave it the Pokémon GO treatment.

I am so happy this is a thing. I loved playing 3 blue that seeing the footage in here is hitting me with that good nostalgia I'm currently playing through 2 and I Can't wait to get to 3

2:35 Scott makes an AMAZING point. Card Witch, Tri-wing and ESPECIALLY One Step for Eden all exist because of Battle Network's influence. And One Step for Eden was a top selling game in early 2020. thats not even to say anything about the fanmade Battle Network games and rom hacks of 6 that allow for Online PVP. This game series was WELL overdue for some love and i'm so glad it finally got some.

Good job ScottFalco. Introducing people to Empress Roll and basically forcing them to look up the series for context at least.

This collection is pretty cool, but the thing that I always loved about megaman.exe is, well... him! the desing its so CUTE! and all the fusions, and cross fusions are so cool! Also your custom Scott with the colour palette is lovely

I remember one of my friends introduced me to this game on emulator. I had no clue what I was doing (I was a Pokemon only gamer at the time) and he saw this as a way to even the odds between our abilities (I'd often/always beat him in Pokemon). I don't know which version it was we played, but I got hooked on finding all the secrets and figuring out how to defeat bosses with 0 damage. There was even some 'compression' system that he didn't know about and I had ridiculously maximized stats. We played a single game. He had to pull out some sort of boss card just to deal damage on me while I was wrecking him with basic moves.

I love how your characters outfit now has a hollow knight nail. And love CC design!

I am so with you on the Starforce collection. I was honestly really disappointed personally when this collection was announced, thinking that Starfirce wouldn't get any love. Luckily, it reawakened the fans of it, and hopefully, nintendo will listen in a few years

Big network fan here and when you mentioned Boktai I nearly lost it. It may not be back for real, but man did I love that series and lunar Knights. Thank you for making this video and making my night a little better

It's a decent collection. Though it's disappointing that they didn't use the DS remakes for 1 and 5, or the Network connect feature of just giving you the other versions trade/pvp exclusives for 2 and 3 that are needed to unlock post game completion stuff like in the Virtual console version.

It’s not surprising 6 is the strongest with PvP, because it’s not only the best balanced for such, but had a fairly healthy community playing competitively before the collection was released, which translated into the collections.

Battle Network 3+, Pokémon Fire Red, and DBZ Buu’s Fury. These were the holy trinity of GBA for me back in the day 🤣

Now this is side of salt. It's been such a ride watching you grow from the Overwatch days, can't wait to see what's up next.

It's crazy how this series predicted smart appliances, especially those that have zero reason to be connected like the infamous squirrel statue by the playground ("I'll jack in to your squirrel, if that's what it takes!") But they still need to *physically plug in to things*, only in the last game do they upgrade to wireless *infrared* connections (the fact they need unobstructed line-of-sight is a plot point) Really gives it that old sci-fi retrofuturism.

Love these games so much. Having a blast with them on stream and while playing the first I was reminded how little these games hold your hands sometimes. "Go find this thing" where is it? "Somewhere in town, just check everything"

Fun fact: I've never had a Megaman game to call my own. Every time I've played it it's been from my cousin who had every X game, or a shareplay on the PS4. This collection will be the first time I ever truly own my own Megaman game. And it's a series that I watched a lot as a kid on RU-vid

Literally the moment i got off from work the day the legacy collection came out, I opened it up and started with BN3, my partner was like why are you skipping games and I was like it was my first battle Network game and I've been waiting years to play it on my TV

Still feels like I'm dreaming that we even got this. Never would have I expected it, but boy am I thankful.

Also, the OST for these games are tier 1. Even Battle Network 4's. Just turned on "Battle Pressure" just for the hell of it. This is also, admittingly, what made me discover Boktai, the most underrated game ever.

MegaMan was one of my favorite series as a kid.. And I absolutely HAD to get this game, the first time I booted it up and saw MegaMan on my screen, the Nostalgia hit me like a punch from Gutsman. Though I have to hold myself back from playing it constantly, since I am choosing to play one version of each game on stream. (Part of me hates myself for doing that)

One of my most nostalgic things about the Battle Network was when I was netbattling my friend at school on MMBN 2 and we both came to the same conclusion that whomever got the Gateman chip fusion first won so we was always rushing to try and grab the combo before the other. Such good times.

I got 3 White for my DS Lite about 5 or 6 years ago and loved the hell out of it, and then one day I couldn't find my DS or its games and I was crushed. Next thing you know, *THIS WAS ANNOUNCED AND I'M SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF IN HAPPYNESS AND EXCITEMENT.* Definitely getting the collection as soon as I can (probably on my birthday in 3 months) so I can reexperience playing it, and I'll check out the other games too!
