Megaman Xtreme 2 fans when X and Zero can't share the weapons and skills they got from bosses so they have to stick to either X or Zero for a full arsenal
Have you played hyperdimension neptunia? The combat system in that one reminded me of command mission, though it's been a while since i've played either.
Ok, but why shouldn’t Capcom make a sequel to Mega Man X8? What possible reason could there be why Mega Man X is a series that would chronologically end with X8 (which I love, btw)?
@@kieranstark7213 No reason they SHOULDN'T, but they WOULDN'T because...I guess they're not confident in the series? X8 sold like shit, but that's their own damn fault for oversaturation of the Mega Man series as a whole.
I mean, then again, in the 2000s compared to the 1990s, ever since Mega Man X overstayed its welcome with X6 and X7 (Command Mission, Maverick Hunter and the Legacy Collections were great, though), I guess I could at least see why Capcom would give up on the X series. I mean, then again, it would make all the more sense if the Mega Man X series ACTUALLY did morph from the Mega Man Zero quadrilogy of the mid-2000s to the ZX duology of the late 2000s!
As an X fan I'm still salty about this, but good for Zero fans all the same. MHX promised to fix this, but it still didn't sell me on Sigma's fascination with X, among other things.
@@justmike3018 dunno, I think that with some time, MHX could have totally revamped X series mythos for good. Yeah, some things were cuestionable at the begining, but the Zero series also had a rough start
They are as both characters. I 100% the game. If there is somewhere you cannot reach use an air mobility mechanic then screen nuke to freeze frames and then that will give you enough air time to get where you want to go.
@@AGZhark X5’s fine, just constantly replay the intro until you get the canon to have a direct hit right away! …Also it has Duff McWhalen, therefore X5 is the best.
MegaMan X5 fans *when they realize that the most optimal way to get the most parts is to intentionally suicide and exit out of stages in order to run down the countdown timer so that bosses are higher level when you kill them*
@@mengo329 I made a hacked save with all the parts available so I could… you know… play the game normally? And die on Squid Adler’s stage before the ‘Ready’ disappears in peace!
@@SAClassHunterZero I recommend playing Megaman X5 tweaks. You can legitimately obtain all parts, use the armor as you obtain pieces, and the Gaea armor isn't as bad.
@@mengo329 Dude, you're my hero. What has been broken... is now fixed. Ngl though, the Gaea was always one of my favorites haha. Instant Charge Shots, and corner-camping the black devil are a blast, pun intended.
@@mengo329 Holy shit there's an X5 mod? I'm currently playing through X6 tweaks and all the time I was thinking to myself "man I wish there was one for X5 too"
I love how overly complicated the X3 Fan one is, it fits pretty well with the game. X3's 'chip'-finding in general reminds me of those ridiculous urban legends for old videogames where there was apparently a super specific way to unlock something.
@@mengo329 it’s rather reminiscent of Sonic CD, imo it’s just less enjoyable to be rushing around exploring a level head-to-toe for multiple things in a Mega Man X game than in a Sonic game.
@@CaptainCoolzCT- honestly it fits better in MMX, cause at least there I have a moveset made for exploration, and it's been there since X1 as well in varying degrees. Sonic CD was just one game that made a very non precise character have to do precise stuff to make not green hill zone purple
Me (an X6 fan) jamming to pretty much every song in the game while annihilating everything in my path as Shadow Armor X: 0:32 Edit fixing was fixing a typo
@@sergiomatheus3392 Shadow Armor makes Gate Stage 2 a cakewalk, just equip Hyper Dash and Jumper and you'll make the infamous jump easily (or be a badass like me and do it without parts) (don't, you'll regret it)
I’m a fan of Mega Man X1, X2, X4 & X8 who hates X6, and even with that, I laughed instead of cringed as if my opinions were being attacked because I know that’s not a complete representation of the fans of the respective games of the Mega Man X octology of the mid-90s to mid-00s.
@@zero-0159 Because the Reploid population no longer trusted the humans or the hunters, and because the Reploids and the humans were at a tipping point of unease that may have escalated into a genocide. I dunno sounds like a reasonable enough justification to declare independence.
I'm just so amused that it's the X6-X7 fans who are enjoying themselves. Code Crush was my jam ... and so were all the other Japanese theme songs, except Command Mission's intro and X4's credits.
I actually enjoy Mega Man X7. Maybe I just have a tolerance for it's design. Now if only they didn't just completely throw away the idea of a 3D MMX game and tweaked that formula to work...
@@Takimeko With all the inventive 3D fangames I see in the Sonic fan gaming community, I could see one of those developers spin up a decent tech demo for what X7 could've been.
@@rarenaoto7633 Personally, I like that the game can't be taken seriously. It doesn't even try to be the best game or anything. It just... Exists the way it is. It was fun for me, the mechanics are simple, the bosses aren't too bad the second time you play, the graphics are decent (at least I liked them more than X8 graphics), and the rest is just a complete mess. But then again, don't take it seriously and just laugh at it.
Well, coming from a fan of Mega Man X1 for the SNES and PSP (yes, I also enjoy the hell pit of of how the entire Mega Man X franchise started with the introduction level that is “Freeway”), we all have to admit, just like the rest, it’s always better than its iOS version, Mega Man X6 and especially Mega Man X7.
Its so awesome to see friendly memes being attached to the MegaMan franchise. Also, MMX4 was the game which started and introduced me to MegaMan and I have to say, the English voice dub is unjustifiable. XD "What am I fighting foooooooooooor!?"
In an alternate reality we have a megaman x16 fans explaining why Sigma reviving and becoming good to defeat omega robot jesus is actually a good plot twist
I played the X6 in childhood, so, I discovered X8 years later as a teenager, and searched for all the series and played all of them in a sequence, best feeling when I got again in the X8, but now, with the knowledge of the entire story...
Another one of the best things about Mega Man X7 is that it also has a huge hatedom and that when someone likes it (not as an underrated gem unlike the rest of the series that is not X6), but as a guilty pleasure), they don’t treat these people that have a (partially) opposing opinion like X7 purists.
I think with X4 I like the fact that the Repliforce actually isnt there just to be antagonists. Granted with Zero knowing Colonel and Iris personally I mainly think with Iris she was just there to be the love interest to Zero. Which if you seen her in a previous game that would have been better.
"Hey, I'm looking for my sister in this rubble. You're her best friend, right? Can you help me?" "Go home right now or I will hunt everyone you have ever associated with." "Dude wtf I'm going to go start an ethnostate in space now"
“e minutes” Whatever that means. And btw, The Freeway/Mega Man X1 bashers should learn to respect positive opinions on Mega Man X games (especially the ones that aren’t X6-X7 and yes, even THOSE games as well because opinion disrespecting is not just bullying, but it’s also impossible for people to change opinions to match their own no matter what).
Lol I’m not sure the X3 thing was a real sentence but I’ve been digging these videos! It’s about time I subscribed :) I did a whole mega man 1-3 8bit vs 16bit on sega, may be up your mega man alley! Covered 5 and 4, 6 is next. I still need to beat X3, gosh that final boss is something else

X1 fans when zero finally manages to find sigma’s hidden fortress (it was on a giant floating island right next to arcadia): X2 fans waiting for the boss to stop being invincible: X3 fans looking for their health bar after taking 1 hit: X4 fans being right: X5 fans enjoying a plot that tries to conclude: X6 fans when the plot promptly unconcludes: X7 fans breathing in the air of the next generation of consoles (they now have lung cancer): X8 fans when sigma isn’t the true villain for the first time in 8 games (don’t worry he’s still the first twist villain):
0:22 You have no idea, did you know the maximum chance for the enigma canon to hit is 12.5 percent (the minimum is 6.25), none of the other parts you collect matters past the first one (I'm not sure if this is a result of a programming error or it's intentional). Did you also know that if zero collects a total of 40 sigma heads throughout the game, the space shuttle will always fail, This is incredibly unlikely to happen but it's funny nonetheless.
@@mengo329 It's not bad. To me it's like a big can of trail mix: plenty of varied treats to munch on, but nothing substantial in the end except for finally killing Sigma, and incidentally, the series itself. It feels like X3 to me, but less memorable and fun to play. I love X3. The best thing about X8 for me was the music, especially giving the Ride Armor its own theme.
@@mengo329 X8 *is* good. Gigabolt Man-o-war and Avalanche Yeti stages could use some work. X's charge shot is ridiculously overpowered... this is very good!
It's better than X7 and 6, the level design doesn't suck as much, the final boss is not Sigma, and the Ultimate Armor is the most broken thing ever (not surprising) And yes, there's 2 stages with that god damn motor bike
Honestly I don't even think X4 has that bad of a story, it's the writing itself that's abysmal. Having the plot center around a non-evil robot uprising? That could have been amazing. Instead we get, well, you already know what we got, and that's not even touching the English voice acting.
I once got into a really heated argument over whether X4's story was good or not so now I'll just let anyone who says that it's bad to go about their day.
X5 is the one that hits me the most. This is a game that actively punishes you for sucking, not knowing which bosses drop what for upgrades AND destroying Mavericks beyond the boss itself.
@@EdKolis Campy and predictable... wow yeah, that totally isn't the case for any megaman game ever made. Thats hardly a reason to single out X4 specifically. We know someone is manipulating the Repliforce, but at least we saw a story happening where we can clearly tell this isn't a "good vs bad" situation for the most part. You see two sides being pit against one another, and you see Megaman struggling with his actual thoughts on the Maverick situation, as well as Zero coping with both his now-revealed past AND loss of a respected friend and Iris who I suppose counted as a "love interest" (which I admit is dumb since robots). Anytime the megaman games have tried to inject story, it was kind of awful. Oddly enough Megaman 8 handled it well, and for the X series I believe X4 handled it the best as well. Regarding Double, sure.. Double Agent, predictable. Him transforming into a neigh-unstoppable killing machine wasn't.
@@EdKolis Well, there’s a difference between bad (to certain people) to so bad it rivals the likes of the New Super Mario Bros. sequels (Not only did they make Princess Peach a damsel in distress that is also therefore a stereotype of girly/traditionally feminine women (no wonder Nintendo is controversial nowadays, but wait, there’s more!!!), but they even went as far as to not give it their all with Bowser and his Koopalings along with making the Mario Bros. themselves not reach out for Princess Pesch event hey could have easily caught her before she got kidnapped even though she actually learned to be strong in Mario Sports and RPGs) which are my least favourite Mario games (before Super Mario 3D All-Stars ruined Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and my favourite game of the three, Super Mario Galaxy 1), Bubsy 3D, Superman 64, the Meta Era Sonic games (Sonic Free Riders, Sonic 4, the home console versions of Sonic Colours (especially Ultimate), Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World, Rise of Lyric, Sonic Forces, Team Sonic Racing), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Cheetahmen 1 & 2 and Mega Man X7.
That X1 intro explanation joke really hit considering I got recommended ANOTHER "Why X1 Intro level is perfect" that was made this week. How do many videos can the general community make on ONE LEVEL!?
