You don't know grinding in a video game until you've hopped up and down that tower for hours waiting for the bugs to come out so you can fill up your extra health tanks, only to die on his second form and have to do it again.
I usually fill the energy tanks in Armored Armadillo's stage. Just keep killing the enemies right at the start of the stage and they'll keep respawning. Even occasionally drop lives too.
Fun Fact: In math, Sigma is used to indicate summation, or adding everything in a series together. In that sense, Sigma kind of lives up to his name: you beat him using the summation of everything you've been doing the entire game.
I once derived a formula of something where I had a product symbol inside a summation symbol. That actually looked pretty amazing, I had never seen an equation like that before.
@@emptygamerandanimator7529 really? Just for bosses, or do you mean for stage navigation as well? For stage navigation the Storm Tornado is my favorite
@@masterharpuia5191 The Legend of Dr. Light was the best idea ever. The Legend of Alia and the Legend of Iris are complete garbage that I posted, so I will remove those garbage posts I made. Everything I post is just garbage.
I'm playing this game for the first time. I really suck at Mega Man X. I'm enjoying the game, but holy crap... the Sigma levels and his boss fight are balls hard. Save states have been my best friend. My reaction time is not quick enough for some of this stuff.
I just finished the game and I gotta tell you, my right thumb feels like it went to the gym by itself. Holding the x buster while also jumping trying to kill those bugs to fill my energy tanks really feels like a workout.
I know that feel bro, I actually had to play holding my controler in an arcade style, using index finger to attack, middle to jump and ring finger to dash. Still, my left thumb is in hell.
I know right!!!!!!!! The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon was born in January 1992, 1 year before this now GOLDEN retro game was released. Now watching it in July 2023, I'm still a hardcore fan of this classic game!!!!!!
Truthfully, I hear people complain about how hard x3 was but the first mega man x was the hardest. For all these years I could never beat wolf sigma but tonight I finally did. He was easy in maverick hunter x of course, that game was way easier than the original I got x2 end 4 to beat now in the legacy x collection
Thanks for not being like every single asshole who uploads this battle who beats him with zero damage. Thanks for letting us see what the boss can actually do 👍
I like this, man! I like to show people how the game is, and there are no videos about it, they're just Speed Runs or..perfect kills, nobody can see what really happened (I'm talking about the one who had never seen the game before). Really like your gameplay!
AND THAT'S how the Maverick Wars & the Sigma Virus began, as well as how X the Blue Bomber & Zero The Red Swordsman started to make their reputation as the 2 strongest and MOST BADASS Maverick Hunters be known!!!!!👍
This does not work at all. Sigma frequently knocks you off with his other hand if you're standing there. It does it over and over for me I'm convinced he's glitched sigma into thinking he's not standing on his hand. This is all luck
I was so happy someone could finally show me what happens when you beat this guy. The other comments about spending hours blowing up the little bugs to recharge the E tanks, was exactly what I did over a summer only to be defeated by the second head stage. It never occurred to me as a kid to jump on one of the hands as it floated down.
Lol, the wall jumping in the beginning reminds me of Samus wall jumping in Super Metroid. God, you could get a bunch of stuff that you weren't expected to get by using the wall jump... XD
I tried to take a look here in YT if I was doing it correctly the first time of my attempt... Now I've confirmed I was doing the right thing after all. Thanks!
The first time I beat the game. I only used the X-Buster. I was dashing, jumping, and holding the X-Buster throughout the whole game. Years later I only learned you can use the rolling shields to inflict more damage. I had no internet or RU-vid to figure it out. Lol
Only ever play x4 as a child. It was challenging, but THIS people, THIS is fucking insane. I'm fighting Sigma right now, and the damn bastard is a though one. My fingers hurt LOL
I would say a win is a win. I could never beat this game and doing a little research before I try myself to reclaim the glory I could not get as a child.... I will return and let you know how it goes.
Hey Megaman765, can you predict the future? Because you play so good, you almost know what an opponent is going to do. You're like, awesome. Keep up the good work. :D
Like Megaman did in the video comments, I was reffering to the Final Destination joke, I was assuming everyone was aware of it when I typed the comment, apparenly some don't...*Sigh* It wasn't meant to be a serious comment. >_>
That's how I've always fought stage 2 as well. It takes the longest, but once you get it down right, you'll leave that fight without taking any damage. Every other method I've tried just seems suicidal
crap wish i would've watched this before i turned my system off and swore never to try Sigma's stage again! that final form will eat my cheese someday! my hand hurts.
