I have so many qualms with this "sequel", but one of them is definitely the animation, more specifically Megamind's model and animation range. In the peak film, his blue skin is artfully crafted with purple hues on his cheeks and ears, to showcase that it's skin and not just paint or something (with other characters in mind, they also did well on hair for 2010). Next, his clothing was done to clearly showcase the leather textures. And lastly, he has a beautiful range of cartoon motion in his face and body. You can see how his face stretches and flows, for example showing wide eyes and high eyebrows for surprise. In this new animation, he can barely raise his arms above his head without breaking his shoulders. He feels too contained, lacking the great energy that both the animation and voice acting provided in the original film. This video was funny and I like your silly edits, I'm sure they took time to produce!
I agree fully, you said it perfectly, all your points are exactly what I was going for. It definitely is more than disappointing what they did with this "sequel". Especially because of how much the first one means to a lot of people, it's so underrated, there was so much love and care that was poured into the original film and seeing it tarnished really sucks. Also thank you I appreciate that! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
@@ReidPlusE Of course! And hey, I just saw that Peacock Kids uploaded the first 6 minutes of the new one to RU-vid. It's really terrible... but you could react to it for a video without giving the movie any streaming views on the actual platform.
