The fact that Trolls got a better sequel than Kung Fu Panda and Megamind shows what movies Dreamworks seem to prioritize.

The Button of Doom" short is a better Megamind sequel than this, and the only true one in my opinion. Doom Syndicate will never be Megamind 2, it's a cheap, poorly written pilot to a cheaper, more poorly written show. If they had marketed it as such instead of Megamind's big return, no one would've cared about it. And I won't care either. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't exist.

Imagine Shark Tales getting this kind of TV Show treatment that makes Monsters Vs. Aliens *looks sane and tamed!*

There is no Easter Bunny, there is no Tooth Fairy, and _there is no Megamind Sequel!_

Fun Fact: The voice actor for Megamind in this movie is the same guy who did the voice for Megamind in the video game tie-in for the 1st movie and he sounded like Will Ferrell there, so idk what happened with his voice.

Just how the hell can the same writers of Megamind forget their own movie that they made? Did they suffer memory loss? Idk, something happened. Idk how its possible to forget so many things from your own movie.

I honestly didn’t get that much into MegaMind myself either but even I find the sequel making the first movie look like a traditional Disney movie from the 50s.

This makes Chicken Little look like Despicable Me. Raisorblade, say what you will about Wish, but at least that movie's animation is at least five times better. I'm just keeping it Real honest with you buddy.

Studios need to learn that a popular IP isn't enough. Respecting the original story and source material and putting love and passion to it is what matters! These studios and companies are disconnected and out of touch with the audience just like how Sony was with the Emoji Movie.

The Doom Syndicate was supposed to be in the first movie but it took too much development so they remove it and put them to the video game of Megamind.

DreamWorks truly will always have the highest highs and the lowest lows with their projects. Hopefully the upcoming Wild Robot movie will be some sort of apology for these insults of recent projects.

Ok. Here’s a wired rewite of the story. After the first movie events played out. Megamind has been actually doing well for the past seven years (it could be three) he’s has been stopping crime left and right and has a planned marriage to roxanne. One day there was a bank robbery by reptile. A guy who is ether wearing a suit or is a mix of some reptiles like snakes turtles and crocodiles. He tries to get reptile by using the spider bot but got the jump from him. Reptile tackles megamind of the spider bot and into a near by sewer tunnel. He struggles against reptile and eventually got yeted out of the water. He tried to use his dehydration gun but was wrap around and crushed in his hand by the reptile’s tail. Before rep could do anything minion hits him with the forget me stick. Reptile fell unconscious. Megamind is glad that minion came at the right time but was not happy to see his dehydration gun being destroyed. But minion was still glad that his friend was still alive. A couple of hours later. Megamind places reptile to container. He build doum like cells to keep unknown criminals in check. The guy who runs the prison in the first movie. Can’t remember his name. Thanks Megamind for the approvements around the prison. Megamind of course takes this as a compliment but still worries that this criminal activity won’t stop anytime soon. Some hours later he gets back to his lab again and meets roxanne. They both hug and kiss each other. They discussed thier marriage comingup and the amount of criminal activity that has been happening. Megamind a sures that they can stop it from going any further. Until boom! A hole in a wall. Megamind, Roxanne, and minion who was entering lab noticing a group of radtag villans called the doom syndicate and that’s where this half rewrite ends. You can see and change a few things about it. Other wise that’s all I got. Bye.

This movie genuinely gives me pain and sadness. It’s the biggest middle finger to a good movie that it makes movies like Batman and Robin or Superman 4 seems like better movies than this. Because say what you will about those, at least I didn’t feel pain watching them

If you haven’t seen the TV show, you’re not missing much. Only important thing is that the Mentor doesn’t do much outside of like preparing some machine that would give him his body back (which happens in the finale) and the cliffhanger is that Megamind must get help from Metroman. As someone that loved the first movie, I'm not bothering with either this sequel or the upcoming series. Chances are the show will flop and hopefully Dreamworks will stop forcing Megamind to become a franchise. Key word being 'hopefully.'

I rather watch the first one instead (the one w( Will Ferrell on it) Also is it me or does Megamind and Bad Guys have similarities in terms of plot and other things Also what I found interesting about the sequel that Adam Lambert played one of the villains, and years ago, he did a cover of Think (Aretha Franklin) from the Captain Underpants movie (also its soundtrack). I remember when spilling the milk watched the monsters vs aliens show they described the feeling of the show was as if it wasn’t never designed to be remembered, but just to be background noise for little kids. The trend of low quality dreamwork shows technically started with that and since then a similar type of show pops up after a while. Really want to know who keeps calling for them at dreamworks. .

I think it’s an important lesson to recognize that companies will mess up. Back then, people were putting DreamWorks on a pedestal, while shaming Disney. But here’s the thing. They are both companies, and they both will have their ups and downs. And DreamWorks has the potential to make great stuff and terrible stuff, much like Disney can also make good stuff and bad stuff. And I think the sequel perfectly demonstrates why I never 100% trust companies. Nevermind 2 is garbage, and a complete desecration to the original. Megamind (2010) is actually really good, having great animation, great characters, and a fun plot. But everything changed with Nevermind 2. The influencer girl is irritating, Megamind went from compelling and smart, but a little bit egotistical, to essentially rip-off Boom Sonic without any of the charm that Boom Sonic has (the reason why I’m comparing him to Boom Sonic is because he specifically reminds me of him. I truly wish I was watching Sonic Boom instead) with stupidity added in for extra frustration. Roxanne went from a fun reporter to a person who wants to quit her job, and I’m going to explain it the MrEnter way.. “because potatoes”. And Chum…they have ruined Megamind and it shows. Speaking of shows, the TV show is completed and utter garbage. From Megamind to Nevermind, I tell ya. And DreamWorks, shame on you. >:(

Shrek the third looks like the first two movies compared to Megamind 2 or Nevermind since it barely has anything to do with the real Megamind behind same characters and few callbacks made. The part where Kocnk's son playing the knight character was the most intertesting thing that I could take away from this film.

Megamind vs the DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM syndicate is shit as it literally SPITS on everything the first movie did well, but i literally laughed of Todd Haberkorn being one of the characters... seeing voice actors of media you enjoy (for you, it's Dragon Ball, for me, it's Danganronpa as he also voices Korekiyo Shingujii and Teruteru Hanamura in the series) in media you review is always fun.
