I actually took a road trip to Prince Edward Island with a friend after watching the films. Loved the series. Love Anne and Gilbert. I cried when I heard Jonathan passed away.
I'm a 35 year old latino male in the SF Bay Area and I saw both Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea mini series on the Disney Channel back in the late 80's and early 90's. I was a huge fan of those shows and it was during a time when the Disney Channel used to play grown, quality programs that appealed to kids and adults. I loved Megan Follows as a kid and I hope PBS and KQED will bring these shows back to reach a new generation of fans to watch.
Something else about the author was that she had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. She put that into her Anne books. It wasnt in the movies very much. And not mentioned at all here. I still love the first 2 movies and this interview. Megan will always be Anne as I read the books.
Megan Gollows is the ultimate and essential Anne of Green Gables...love her work. She brought Anne alive. Believable. Takes you there. Unprecedented talent. Beautiful soul. .God's blessings for continued roles...
Remember watching Anne at G G with my mother when I was 15 y o, and I just loved it. There just something that caught me with Megans performance, the story and the beautiful places where it was filmed. I'm now 52 and I still think of the tv series and Megan sometimes. So it had a huge inpact on me for sure..
I'm so sorry but this host/facilitator is so upsetting to me. I don't mean to be negative but it's FREAKING MEGAN FOLLOWS!!!! Megan is my idol from my childhood and I still love her!! This host is awful. Please pick better hosts next time. Megan I love you and I appreciate all you did in the world of film. I love you so much!!!!!
Yeah, let’s retroject modern chaotic, controversial sexual and gender ideologies *backward* into the original story of Anne of Green Gables and applaud such efforts, instead of letting the honest story stand on its own. 🙄 Here’s an idea: write your own, original modern stories or even period tales with new characters who puppet your ideologies. Be creative. Let classics remain classics. Will always love and cherish Megan’s work, but she is … Canadian, for sure.
The Anne of Green Gables that Megan Follows played in, I really love that movie. Her voice from the movie Anne of Green Gables from series 1 to the 3rd movie of Anne of Green Gables, her voice in the 3rd movie of Anne of Green Gables got deep.
Thank you, Megan for bringing Anne to life!! I first saw you when my sister in law recorded tge series and shared with my two daughters. I fell in love!! She bought a set of vhs for my oldest daughter. I got a set for my second daughter when my oldest moved out. We wore that set out, so I bought a dvd set!! Thank you for showing my girls how they be ladies!!!
Megan Follows, I have been told the young girls that do not like their red hIr are often told that they are often the first to be seen! ❤ Perhaps since you were the first to be seen, despite them continuing looking, actually helped you. The second time you were memorable! And to this day your character of Anne of Green Gables touches new generations hearts. Your performane? Outstanding and excellent. Good for you!
I just finished watching Ray Bradbury Theater...The Dwarf. That was the first time I seen or heard of you Megan ( I hope your reading this). I figured you were close to my age so I googled you. What a great career you have. I enjoyed The Dwarf, and was very impressed with your part. I hope you keep on doing new films. Take care ❤
It was on my bucket list from the time I found this morning to visit PEI and see Green Gables and I was able to do that 6 years ago and it was amazing!! Also when Jonathan died omg so sad 😢
At 18 minute mark women are asking about Jonathon who played Gilbert. Megan never lets on that Jonathan was Gay! All those women who had a crush on him never knew. For some reason I knew he was as it was something about his demeanor that gave it away. Years later before he died it was brought out he was gay
