The funniest part about all the pay hullabaloo was they actually made MORE money than the men, both in absolute terms AND % of total revenue. The reason they sued for more pay because they WOULD HAVE made more money if they had been paid the way that the men agreed to be paid, because they played and won more big games. They weren’t even making less than the men, they were already making more, and they still complained.

I think the USA need to have a massive clear out & get rid of the toxic mentality that currently surrounds it which was spearheaded by Rapinoe. America should get players that WANT to represent their country, who will feel a sense of pride when they sing their national anthem before a game & feel an immense honour when they pull on that shirt. The mentality has to change & change quickly because with the Olympics coming up & the next World Cup likely to be in the USA, time is running out!

I wanted the USWNT to win. Rapinoe DID NOT lose the game on that missed PK! Had she scored, it would have put the USA up 4-2 with Sweden having two more chances. Sweden missed their next kick which THEN would have won the match. The USA missed their 5th kick would have also won the match. Sweden tied it at 3-3 on their last kick. Yes, Rapinoe had her chance on the World Stage and shanked a simple kick. Her post-match interview was disgusting, though! Show some remorse in defeat. She failed at her job. She needs to accept her responsibility to the team!

I like how you mentioned you could never route against America. I get the hate for Rapinoe and I was happy she missed her PK. But I didn’t want to see the girls lose we still have a lot of solid people. Lindsey Horan would sing with her hand on her heart then hold the USA crest up and clap after the Anthem. Although the loss was 100% on the Manager and poor form. He took Alex Morgan out for Rapinoe rather take Sophia smith out. He took his 32 year old reliable vet out in a game likely going to PKs and kept an 18 year old in. Morgan makes that PK 100%
