The new megayacht NORD, a 142m long yacht reportedly built for a Russian billionaire, returned from sea trials to the Lürssen yard Bremen, Germany, on Nov. 9th, 2020.
Despite the dense fog, the ship revealed a secret: they opened the side hatch and lowered a boat. So, contrary to some rumors, no submarine or rocket launcher inside that yacht...
Reportedly, ALEXEI MORDASHOV owns the yacht. He is a Russian billionaire businessman. He is the main shareholder and chairman of Severstal, a Russian conglomerate with interests in metal, energy and mining companies.
Die bei der Lürssen Werft in Bremen gebaute Magayacht NORD kam am Morgen des 9.11.2020 von Testfahrten zurück. Die Yacht ist 142m lang, 22m breit und soll für einen russischen Milliardär gebaut sein. Trotz dichtem Nebel über der Weser ließ sich das Herausfahren eines im Inneren versteckten Beibootes beobachten und das Geheimnis lüften, was sich wohl hinter den seitlichen Luken befindet...

The sub was never a SECRET ! It is commonplace for the affluent to buy them . They start at $ 2 million for a 2 man and go up from there . At the Monaco Yacht show they display and sell them a " toys for the rich " .

Davvero una bella barca .. Io sono un operaio di 62 anni ,padre di un figlio di anni 32 disabile grave dalla nascita . Una delle sue innumerevoli patologie è di natura tiroidea-respiratoria . Abbiamo avuto un piccolo semicabinato (6Metri!!) per 8 anni che ci permetteva di uscire in mare , vero toccasana per Lorenzo. Quest'anno me ne sono dovuto liberare in quanto la tariffa di rimessaggio è passata a 2500 euro, cifra che insieme alla manutenzione diventa per me impossibile da onorare, e a Lorenzo al posto di aria di mare gli somministro dei salutari "FARMACI!" . Immagino che anche se non conosce la mia lingua si potrà certamente permettere un traduttore. La saluto e buon vento. Alessandro

There is no definition on what a super or a megayacht is. Most people say it's a megayacht if it's loa is greater than 60 meters. MY Nord is more than double that size. Superyachts are mostly referred to yachts smaller than 60 meters.

Many owners live aboard them for swathes of a given year. This video is just footage from testing either pre-delivery or perhaps post-delivery but back in for minor revisions.
