I think Meghan would have never gone for the "working royal" job. Just watch the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh when they went yesterday to Holyrood Palace to receive the keys of the city. They were representing King Charles, and that would have been the sort of job Harry and Meghan would have had. But if you notice, it's Prince Edward who receives the keys, and Duchess Sophie is there to support him. She doesn't ever barge in front of Prince Edward like Meghan does to Harry at every turn. Meghan would have been second banana to her husband, because he's the royal, and she would have never agreed to do that. She wanted fame and fortune and Harry was her ticket. Therefore, Harry is no longer Prince William's spare. He is now Meghan's Spare.
