As an American, I was pretty ignorant to how awful the British tabloids are until Meg and Harry started speaking out. I was incredibly young when Diana died, so I wasn't aware of the circumstances of the tabloids/paparazzi culture surrounding her death. I'm glad they were both able to leave and hopefully create a safe and healthy family environment for their kids that Harry did not have.

Yeah, the only thing stopping the tabloids is the fear of being sued...and the royal family cannot do that, they depend on the press for their very existence. Harry and Meghan suing the tabloids and winning handily shows just how scummy these tabloids really are, breaking the law with impunity because no one will ever drag them to court, despite them being so brazen about it. I was shocked by the tabloid culture when I briefly visited London years ago. I wasn't even sure if the news stands had legitimate newspapers because they took up most of the space and I saw lots of people reading them in public places. It seemed to me like they were conflated with actual news. I know people in the US read them - they put them right in the checkout lane for a reason - but I can only think of one person I've known in my whole life who admitted to buying and reading them.

There was a time when there is no home without a spread of newspapers. 1 reason for the decline is because of how slow the newspapers are, what's the point of buying a newspaper for news that happened yesterday when The TV, Facebook or MSN has already told me and kept me up to date on the forever changing story. 2) Online News and free newspapers, what is the point of paying for the news when it is free. 3) News of the World scandal and other like scandals involving newspapers. Its because british media has a different type of toxicity than US media. Where US media targets groups, politics or ideas and jumps from person to person every few weeks. I have been Team Harry since I was 11 and I liked what I saw of Meghan from the very beginning. They make a good team and I'm rooting for them. Your videos are a breath of fresh air. I have been feeling this entire situation was super sketchy from day one. Looking at the history of how tabloids literally feed off hurting women, I was pretty certain that she was probably a normal woman doing her best in the worst situation, but it is nice to see it laid out in such a clear and entertaining manner.
This is so refreshing. Finally someone has had the cojones to say all of this. Here in the UK, and elsewhere of course, we have a tendency towards the mob mentality. I’m not really a big “fan” of anyone, and feel silly saying this as I don’t know either of them, but I think Harry is… I don’t want to say “lucky” because I’m sure they each feel lucky (I’m lucky that my husband is a great person) …. I just think he married a very kind, smart, lovely woman who does the sort of philanthropic work they’re meant to do because she wants to. The press really worked overtime to paint her as something I don’t see any evidence of at all. They never do anything to me and never will. I do think that Andrew should be investigated/punished based on his alleged crimes). Again, I don’t know these folks, but she seems like the best one. You didn't know nothing about all her charitable work before Harry because the British press and the RF (from my perception) were afraid of her overshadowing Kate. So instead of telling us about her philanthropic work, they choose to hide that and gives what they think is more juicy and more deminishable!!! Meghan has been active since she was a child. People who study International Relations are not usually intellectually asleep. Even after MM’s mariage, she worked with refugees to create a cook book, she edited a women’s magazine to highlight female leaders, etc… none of this is good enough for the haters. TRUE family is those you choose, deliberately choose, to be in your life because you simply feel good around them.

I had quite the opposite path. I liked her. It definitely wasn't love or admiration because there wasn't a reason for that. It was just ok-sympathy. Whatever 'controversial' she did, I justified with tabloid-media-news. But after she said that her first child is just a hobby and he wasn't enough to make them family it just clicked. I started to do my research and... She lies. She lies a lot. And she has absolutely no empathy. She's an empty shell. I can relate I actually liked and believed her until I got sucked into a rabbit hole of anti Meghan videos about a week ago. Then I started questioning everything. I looked for a video like this but could find none which was my first hint something was fishy. Then everyone treating her like crap were right wing tabloids, assholes or (and who I see as the most innocent) Brits who made videos for just a couple thousand people who always looked up to the Royals. I feel like SOME of them were taken in by the tabloids they see everyday. I think she seems really strong and grounded, so I think she’ll handle it and find a way to learn something from it and possibly help people with it. I don’t mean that in a callous way- and I realize you can’t be strong enough to ensure that you’ll survive tons of emotional/mental pressure. I guess I mean I think she’ll handle it, but she shouldn’t have to. And even if she finds a way to turn this pain into something helpful or a lesson that could help others in crisis in the future, it should never have happened. Even if she’s okay, it’s not because no monsters tried to destroy her for fun or clicks or money. I hope people find something fulfilling to do or find a way to like themselves, because this culture of mercilessly attacking anyone you can get away with attacking is just gross. I think the way the two are getting treated even today is just despicable! I know people who actually met Harry in Afghanistan and the way it’s been framed as he’s some "stolen valor" type of guy is just shitty! One of my former colleagues who were there at the same time as Harry were quite sure that Harry was one of the guys who provided CAS on a very nasty day where they were pinned down after they had been ambushed during patrol - so I have absolutely no reason to believe the guy isn’t real about this shit!

As someone from America that gets exposed to these headlines but never has any interest to dig deeper or care, it's very interesting to see the depth of the industry that props these things up. As usual per these types of analysis, I find myself in a strangely in two simultaneous places. First, at the 10,000 foot level, I'm hardly surprised by any of this. But then, at the detailed level, I'm constantly shocked and confused as to why and how this is all happening. Munecat videos are like watching a train wreck.
