Meghan Markle is leaving one of her beloved rescue dogs behind in the U.S. as she begins her new life as a soon-to-be royal in the UK, following her engagement to Prince Harry. Guy and Bogart are commonly referred to by Markle as “my boys” and "my loves," and are constantly featured on her Instagram page. Guy, a beagle, is enjoying life in the U.K., while Bogart, a Labrador/shepherd mix, will not be moving to London. Bogart is reportedly staying with close friends of the actress. #InsideEdition

This is so sad. I used to live in the US and once i came back to Italy for vacation I have adopted 7 abandoned dogs (they were in severe danger situations and i couldn't avoid but save them). I haven't left Italy since then as I didn't find yet a solution to live in the US with them. I would never leave them here alone or with close friends or my relatives even if my mum adores dogs.

If it's an older dog then living him behind would be best as traveling can be very stressful on animals and extreme stress can in fact kill them in some cases.

We had to do that for a friends dog. This lady my mom knew was moving back to england because her sister was really sick. She had a 12 year old sheltie named Lucy. She was to old to travel so she lived out her days with us. She died 9 months after her owner left.

Ashley Nicole Only in America, because they have puppy mills, sell dogs in shops like lifeless goods and have killing shelters and (hard to say but) the "more human" people dump their pets on the streets to not have them gasified and killed right away. No killing shelters where I live, so we don't have street dogs at all and good caring shelters for dogs too with space and walks and social contacts. Megan Markle is rich, she could have find a better solution (like bringing the dog on a boat or something).

The dog wasn't well enough to travel, maybe people should look at the facts instead of making up what you want, she can't exactly live in the US anymore and if someone she knows and trusts has him, I'm sure she'll have regular contact over video chat at, she didn't dump him, she made a decision to avoid him getting seriously sick or even dying through travelling when he isn't well enough to do so
