So Meghan knows his husband's family does not involve in politics, but she ignores the protocol and tradition because she is "passionate"? She not only implied that RF is not "passionate" about "good courses", an attack on the RF, but also shows her arrogance and contempt towards the RF and the Britain. The protocols are there for good reasons. I am sure she understands those reasons, because they are not difficult to understand. But she does not care. She uses the gifted title from the RF whatever way she wants, at the same time, threw shades on RF. By using her title in political activities, she has damaged the reputation of our monarchy. New Your Times, why do you give a platform to this proven liar? why do you give her a chance to show her disrespect and contempt of our monarchy and British nation?

The excessive use of the words ‘me’ and ‘I’ by Meghan once again showed that she makes everything about her. Such a shame as it’s a very important topic. On the other hand Melody’s contribution was intelligent and insightful.

Meghan likes talking about herself, her husband, her life & all the difficulties she has faced, whereas Melody talks about the facts & how it relates to women in an inspirational way💗

I signed up for this series and was hoping to change my mind about Meghan Markle. Sadly, watching this dialogue, this confirms that I've been right about her superficiality and pretentiousness. So hypocritical and artificial. Nothing about her promotes women's issues and inspires human advancement. Thank goodness Mellody Hobson was able to speak at times so my time was not a total waste. I was able to learn from her. A true leader and an inspiration.

why does meghan try to incoorporate her own superiority and self importance in every single answer she gives?? she is so full of herself. it's cringey to hear her talking about the sacredness of family bonds and responsibities. preach! The other lady should have got more air time since she has actually accomplished something.

Virtually everyone in this forum praises Melody, and ignores Meghan. Rightfully so. Shame on her for ghosting the Royal family, and her own family. Milking that title and not being in England, while also denigrating the Royal family that gave it to her? That is low class, to put it mildly.

Well, we’ve just witnessed the difference between a woman who has something interesting to say and a woman who has a loud voice and wants to be heard by all costs. It’s good that Mellody can use Meghan controversial moment to show the contrast between an actual working boss woman and an attention seeker who’s not ashamed of her lack of substance. “They’ve said that” , “there’s a study that says that” etc in opposition to “I’ve look at the statistics”, “ If my maths are correct”… I mean the contrast between the two women is obvious. Meghan should definitely have a talk show for gossip, beauty and fashion because that’s her level of elocution, nothing wrong with that , she has entertainment qualities and should accept her place with pride and dignity as entertainment is useful for free time activities. I’ll gladly listen to her talking about tan, skin care products and fashion but definitely not about economy and politics or even civil rights She was given the chance to have a royal platform to touch people worldly without having to expose her level of intellect but she refused it ,fair enough; now it’s obvious that she’s not as intellectual as she thinks she is, which is ok but will never be enough to make the impact she aims for as there’s nothing intriguing about her life experience, nor her vision of the world. A good rule of thumb is “If the facts don’t add up, truth was never in the equation.” A good starting place might be speaking to the Archbishop of Canterbury. Just my humble opinion.

I disagree with MM when she says that in reacting to instagram posts the only 2 options ppl have is to ‘like’ or to leave a negative comment. Leaving a comment that disagrees with a post or its contents, does not have to be vitriolic or negative. You can put forward an opposing view in a positive and/or respectful way.

If Andrew Sorkin is reading this, may I suggest the following: Please invite Melody Hobson & Cathy Wood and please flesh out the challenges a) women in finance face ( Cathy Wood)b) the challenges faced by women of colour, in particular black women, face in Finance. For those who don't know women, investment portfolio managers outperform men even during an economic downturn. And please do not bring back Meghan Markle. Her overconfidence is not something to be celebrated. These types of people cause the most damage to people & institutions, according to emerging studies. Also, she seems to embrace a very outdated (think Sheryl Sandberg) and the toxic idea of a girl boss. She appears very disingenuous and fake. This has nothing to do with social media or tabloids. Its her public personality that we view for ourselves.

The way Mellody Hobson listens to MM's responses ( talking about herself) is priceless.

I wish Melody's voice were more center here, as she is actually closer to the majority of the issues discussed here. In any event, we did get good nuggets of wisdom from her.

Meghan said something very important- the parity of wages the workplace would build this country in significant ways. Women on average, still don’t make the same as men do. Mellody’s point about 3/4 of the people working from home pre pandemic were men, is surprising and pretty pathetic. I know a few women who were denied being able to work full time from home before the pandemic.

I’m surprised that the host would even have these two together. Melody is an accomplished investment professional, MM is an accomplished yacht girl who destroyed a prince and is at war with the monarchy. I give credit to Melody for being as poised and receptive to the exchange as she was. MM, was clearly nowhere near as interesting. No surprise there.
