To everyone saying she's fat, she's really not. She's about average size. The song is not about glorifying obesity, it's about defying modern ideals that say you have to be rail-thin to be beautiful.
Meghan Trainor reminds me a lot of Sean Kingston in sound, the female version. Both can sing and rap, which links the two. And, "All About That Bass" is similar to `Beautiful Girl' in rhythm and flow. Meghan is definitely a talent!
Everybody uses autotune but not all singers use it to help their voice. Britney uses it to help her voice. Ari, Kelly & Mariah & others use it for background vocals, etc
When the songs are recorded by a big record label, they always will use auto tune, even if the voice doesn't need it. But when you hear them in acoustic sessions you realize who needs it and who doesn't. There's also artists that record their own songs and doesn't use auto tune at all, like the two boys that brought me here when they covered this song (Emblem3). If you listen to the cover, you'll see they just harmonize and sound amazing.

Really? Because she doesn't have the best voice out there, but look at what else we're working with. I think she's a better singer than Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, and probably others who are topping the charts right now.
OH Meghan! Just wanna say that my daughter is a lot like you. All the right stuff in all the right places. And so thank you for making a song about this. At 15 she struggles with her looks, and size. But I know what you know. That most men do want a little more to hold at night.
I hate how people are like "why is she singing this?! She isn't fat! But she's not skinny either!" LISTEN PEOPLE AND LISTEN GOOD. EVERYONE HAS INSECURITIES. Just because she isn't fat, doesn't mean that she doesn't think she's fat. She may hate her body or ANYTHING about herself. Or used to. Then she stopped giving a fuck. But it's still a self esteem problem. ALSO, what if she was writing it for the people who have eating disorders and image problems... We all have our demons. The point of the song in the first place was that girls who aren't too skinny too fat are considere overwieght. Meghan Trainor is exactly the right weight for who the song is supposed to be towards. It's funny really how people think it's 'all wrong' that she's singing All About That Bass when really she's perfect for it...
She has been writing music for a long time. Young and very unique. She can sing as well. Actually she has alot of mix in her music which is what we need. It's up beat and has alot of rhythm. I love the song, and she is very outgoing... Good for her. Keep writing music and doing what you love to do.

My 8 year old daughter LOVES this song. I'm so thankful for Meghan's catchy song and style that makes a positive body image fun for young girls. Shoot! Girls of ALL ages :)
