When you listen to Mehedi Hassan and Gulam Ali., You forget the world. I don't think the world will ever produce such Gems. I am one of the fortunate person (with my wife) who listen Mehdi Hasan during his fist performance in India.

l like gazal since my boyhood . I am a great fan in the name of gazal smart Mehadi Hassan. I remember the gazal Muhabat Karne walay and Rafta Rafta is the best ever played by Hassan shab. Nowadays Mehadi Hassan and Gulam Ali shabd is incredible in Gazal world. I always respect those, Hassan shab and Gulam Ali shab.
This is Mehndi Hasan Sahib's nobility to describe Gulam Ali sahib as of same glory as of himself. But everybody knows that it is hard to find any classic singer even miles close to him.
mohammed yunnis yusaf both are good in their respective styles. Although not only I, but musicians themselves really believe when it comes to "Sur", Ghulam ali sahib is no where near Mehdi sheb's sur. When it comes to "le-kaar", of course Mehdi sahib is not as commanding as Ghulam ali sahib. But as you said Yunnis sheb, Both are freakin amazing!

Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing but words must be spoken with diligence. Do you have any idea while Mehedi Hassan is the greatest ghazal singer, Ghulam Ali is an artist of artists.
