shahzad yun tu shola e jaan sard ho chuka laikin sulag uthoon tu hawa dijiye mujhe poet of this immortal ghazal "shahzad ahmad shahzad" passed away in pakistan last week.
Delighted to listen to this ghazal in the soulful voice of the Maestro ofcourse in a different orientation for the very first time ! The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the synonym of soft, soothing, and soulful music ! He had a rare GOD-GIFTED ability to lend credence to any labz of the shayar owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! Such was the wizardry of this great wizard of music ! There will never be another Mehdi Hassan ! Let us bow our head in reverence to this great legendary singer and gem of a person for his impeccable track record and monumental contributions to the World Of Music ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️ --- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).
Amarendra Borah sahebji Oh Great! I have not hurt your ego in any way & if U feel that way, it's very unfortunate!! We all love Ustadji & will remain his avid listeners too!!!
Amarendra Borah sirji I like your simplicity & kind admission but still surprised 2 hear of questioning your bonafides! I never meant 2 do it if U read my replies in its true letter & spirit!! Simply posting one's views with d apt explanation 2 validate his opinion does not necessarily mean 2 claim any stake in d matter; On d contrary I would like 2 suggest that we should motivate people 2 post more & more views so that we get enlightened through d debate, else should appeal people 2 make an app having a data base of ragas as many as possible 2 find out d ragas sung or played in d composition!!!
Ramdas Bharteji Saab,. Your response has come to my notice only today and therefore, this belated reaction ! Perhaps, there is no cause for being euphoric for anyone ! Whenever there is any dispute of this kind, it's the most logical course open to all !
rafay kashmiri It sounds as 'Charukeshi' having Dhaiwat & Nishad both komal & of Odhav-Sampurna jaati; आरोह: सा ग म ध॒॒ नि॒॒ सांं; अवरोह: सांं नि॒॒ ध॒॒ प, ध॒॒ म प, ग म रे सा; This raga had been adopted from Karnatic Classical Music pranali.
Amarendra Borahji it's o.k.! My opinion is based on d fact that d Ghazal is sung in D#4 (काली 2) scale with d Tabla also tuned in this scale & by following it through this scale anybody will agree that it is sung in Raag Charukeshi! Anyhow, I won't entertain any further debate in this matter!!!
@@adhominemsis-t.australisensis I take back my opinion as this gazal contains five notes (सा ग_ म प नि सां) in d aaroh & all seven notes (सां नि_ ध प म ग_ रे सा) in d avaroh, which sounds more like raag Patdeep in d aaroh! Use of komal nishaad in d avaroh brings it near 2 its mother raag (thaat) Kaafi!! I sincerely regret for my mistake!!!
