Mehfil-e-Sama’a | Sufi Music | Kochi Biennale 2022-23 

In Urdu, Mehfil-e-Sama’a is a gathering held for Sufi Music like Qawwalis. The Delhi-based Sufi-Hindustani classical music ensemble transformed the pavilion into a Mehfil-e-Sama’a.
The houseful pavilion sang, clapped, and grooved along with the performance and was enthusiastic with their song requests.
Mehfil-e-Sama’a is a Delhi-based Sufi-Hindustani classical music ensemble, mostly comprised of artists from Kerala, now based in Delhi.
